Ha is this the same engine in my old impreza piece of crap subaru! I liked the really old ones super cheap new to purchase and yes they where rust buckets. Toyota corolla engine owns this subs design

It does have hood scoop, so long as the car is moving forward cool more dense air will be moving over the intercooler and in to the engine bay.
lots of Piston slap and the big end will go. flawed engine
im sure subaru know more about engines than you
bigjonnyjon knows more than subaru i asked him
well, look at where the pistons are, most of the heat is going to be around the sides as opposed to the top.
well, I understand you, but heat flyes up, its physics ... if there is not enough high fresh air circulation from front to way out from engine space - this is not dealed at Impreza STi and causes failures due to high temperature
(sorry for my English, hopefuly you understand)
The only time an IC is required is during high speed operation. Going at high speed, the airflow through the front vents to the intercooler (or a scoop in tuned models) should be more than enough to cool the air from the turbo.
You are only partly right - IC is required ANYTIME there is need to cool down pressed air (press increases air temperature).
Green as a modern diesel engine... pulls tons of weight with impressive torque.. way to go.
