actually...Avatar is an American cartoon, it was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko and is aired on Nickeloden. it shares alot of aspects with anime but it is american.

it's an easy mistake, they did a great job at copying the anime style of artwork and storyline

Sorry Avatar is an Anime however.... Watch the History of Anime on Starz On demand if you can and if it's still there.... But yeah Avatar is an anime, just like transformers which todays youth think it's an American cartoon. Anywho, Avatar is an anime, deal with it!
