cars and coffee meet 2/24/07 many nice cars. NOTE when the bugatti veyron takes off its almost silent. all the noise comes from a wrx that was next to it. the subaru was very very loud the popback sounding like gun shots not exaggerating the noise- chip foose came today!. this is also my first time coming to this event :)

The fastest consumer car currently in existence is the Bugatti Veyron. Here are some pics. Technically, however, the fastest car in the world is Thrust SSC, a twin turbofan powered land-bound missile with a pilot that went 763 mph at Black Rock in 1997 and broke the sound barrier in the process.
The last wheel-driven car to hold the Land Speed Record was the Sommers Brothers' Goldenrod, which ran 409 mph on Utah's Bonneville Salt Falts in 1965. It was on display for a long time at the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles.
In spite of claims made in behalf of a number of cars that have yet to be seen, much less driven by unbiased testers, the fastest car you can buy for use on public roads is the €1.0M (now $1.6 Million with the dollar tanking against the Euro) Bugatti Yeyron, which has been clocked at 253 mph.
You need to turn a special key to lock the suspension down and the aerodynamic aids in a less drag-inducing configuration, and if you turn the wheel too sharply, they all go back to the default setting, limiting top speed to a mere 234 mph.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is a supercar produced by Volkswagen AG subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS. It is the most expensive and fastest accelerating street-legal production car in the world and it was also the fastest and most powerful one.
The Veyron features a W16 engine—16 cylinders in 4 banks of 4 cylinders, or the equivalent of two narrow-angle V8 engines mated in a "W" configuration. Each cylinder has 4 valves for a total of 64, but the narrow V8 configuration allows two camshafts to drive two banks of cylinders so only 4 camshafts are needed. The engine is fed by four turbochargers and displaces 8.0 L (7,993 cc/488 in³) with a square 86 by 86 mm bore and stroke.

just my first C&C event, there just happened to be a veyron
the wrx was cool but kinda ruined the vid since it makes such an outragous popback noise. Uh the noise u hear is mainly from the SUBARU SO DONT THINK THIS CAR IS THAT LOUD OR THAT NOISY SOUNDING IT IS PRActicaly quiet..!!!!! WISH THE wrx wasnt there so we could hear the real noise slr owner was cool as she let a little boy sit in the driver seat while it was parked. im going to probably go to this meet weekly as it is every saturday morning. beautiful weather as it was only around 8 something AM. |

I saw the fastest car of the world (407 PS) at the "Chromjuwels"-car show in vienna's technology museum.
Couldn't get my eyes off it.
in 1998, the VW group bought the factories "Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti".
Bentley produced luxurious cars and
Lambo super-sport-cars.
But they didn't know what to do with bugatti. so they decided to create the ultimative expensive- super-car.
It's the Veyron 16.4, the fastest car so far.
it's got 1001 HorsePowers and 407 km/h.
It's planned to be built 300 times, 50 a year.
The price is about 1.500.000 Euros (more than 2.000.000 Dollars).
There were some other great cars in the show, i'm gonna make the videos ASAP.
