The Sims Life Stories is a video game, the first game in the The Sims Stories series. The game is a version of The Sims 2 optimized for laptops (and lower-end desktop computers) and bears similarities to the console ports of The Sims games. In Story mode, it begins with the problems of Riley Harlow and Vince Moore. Rewards are unlocked as set goals are achieved. In open-ended Classic mode, the player creates Sims and then choose how they'll live their life through. The Sims Life Stories was released on February 6, 2007. It is categorized as laptop-friendly since it lacks the need for an independent graphic card.Currently, two other entries in the series are available or in development: The Sims Pet Stories and The Sims Castaway Stories.The game begins in Story Mode with Riley Harlow's life story as she moves from SimCity to Four Corners to live with her Aunt Sharon to start a new life. A second story follows the life of Vincent Moore. After both stories are completed the gameplay continues in open-ended Classic mode, which is similar in nature to The Sims 2. |

The game is reminiscent of an expansion pack from the original The Sims game entitled The Sims: Hot Date, which focused on new social interactions and locations for Sims to visit, such as a dance club or romantic restaurant. Nightlife follows in a similar theme. Some of the items are also similar to the ones found in The Sims House Party.
New additions include inventories, new interactions, and over 125 new objects. NPCs that a player's Sim dates can now leave gifts or hate letters at the Sim's home, depending on the success of particular dates. Some of the new NPCs include party DJs, a Gypsy Matchmaker and Vampires.
Nightlife also adds a new aspiration. The Pleasure Aspiration is assigned in exactly the same way as any of the other 5 aspirations. Sims with the Pleasure Aspiration crave enjoyment in many different ways, whilst they fear embarrassment. Pleasure Sims may receive wants such as 'juggle' and 'jump on lounge.' Nightlife has also introduced a new reward object called the ReNuYu SensoOrb, which enables any Sim to change their aspiration at any time. However, like all other aspiration reward objects, it can fail if the Sim's Aspiration Meter isn't at least in the Gold range, which results in the Sim using it receiving the Grilled Cheese Aspiration, and all other wants or fears will be superseded with ones revolving around grilled cheese sandwiches, such as "Make Grilled Cheese Sandwich" or "Be rejected for Talk about Grilled Cheese Sandwich." If The Sims 2: University is installed, the Sim's Lifetime Want will also change.
In Nightlife, Sims can own their own cars instead of relying on the carpool. There are several models and colors available. In addition, driveways (mandatory for any residential lot to accommodate a car) and garages can be built into the Sim's lot.
Also new, more customized swimming pools can be designed. Included is a new diagonal shaped swimming pool tool, which can be used to create extensive shapes not previously possible. However, the pool ladder and diving board may only be attached to pool tiles square on to the lot.
The lot mode has been expanded in Nightlife, so that it is possible to view the neighborhood from a lot. Players may leave one lot to play another without having to go back to the neighborhood mode. It is still impossible, however, for a Sim to invite himself or herself to another residential lot. |

The ERP Simulation game is an innovative "learning-by-doing" approach to teaching ERP concepts. During this game, students have to run a business with a real-life ERP (SAP®). Groups of five to six students each operate a firm in a made-to-stock manufacturing supply chain and must interact with suppliers and customers by sending and receiving orders, delivering their products and completing the whole cash-to-cash cycle. A simulation software program was developed to automate the sales process, so that every firm receives a large number of orders in each quarter of the simulation. Using standard reports of the ERP, students have to analyze these transactions and make business decisions to ensure the profitability of their operations.

The Sims 2 is a strategic life simulation computer game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to the best-selling computer game, The Sims, which debuted on December 14, 2000. It was released on September 17, 2004; becoming an instant success, having sold a then-record one million copies in its first ten days. Along with the core game, Electronic Arts has released six expansion packs and seven stuff packs. Mark Mothersbaugh composed the music for the game.
The Sims 2 generally follows the same concept as The Sims. The players control their Sims, as they interact with their virtual surroundings, engaging in various different activities and forming relationships in a manner similar to real life. Like its predecessor, The Sims 2 does not have a defined final goal; gameplay is open-ended. They do, however, have life goals, wants and fears, the fulfillment of which can have good or bad effects. There is also a wide-range of cheats to be used. All Sims age, and generally live up to sixty five Sim days, if the controller treats their Sim well.
The Sims 2 builds on its predecessor by allowing Sims, the simulated human characters, to age through six stages of life and incorporating a more powerful 3D graphics engine. As of July 2007, the base game has sold more than 13 million units worldwide, making it the 2nd best selling PC game of all time, only behind the original The Sims. A sequel, The Sims 3, was announced in November 2006 by EA to be released sometime in 2008. |
