Travel Video - Australia: Sydney - Capital of New South Wales (pop. 4 mil.)
Sydney is a world capital, up there with Paris, New York and London. It has that certain energy that a 'happening' capital has. And the Harbour,...... beautiful. Gateway to over 2 million international visitors per year, Sydney is fast paced and action packed.
The annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras attracts more international visitors to Sydney than any other event. Oxford St in Sydney's Gay and Lesbian precinct plays host to a nightly array of drag performers all vying to outdo each other.

INTRODUCTION
My Product is Sydney tourism. The Motto of this commercial is to help the country draw tourists. The Tag line of the Commercial is 'The place people call home' is an attempt to capture everything about Sydney.
My commercial is more of a visual treat I have used 'time-lapse' Effect to show Sydney in motion. My target audience is people who love to travel from different age group. This commercial is meant to screen on television and at the Airports.
The back ground track I have used in the commercial is 'I Still Call Australia Home' by Peter Allan. Many see it as a beautiful and moving song about love for their country.
Lyrics of the song: (the part that I have used in the commercial)
I've been to cities that never close down
from New York, to Rio and old London town,
but no matter how far or how wide I roam
I still call Australia home.
The visuals in the commercial are time-lapse so they appear to be fast in motion but because of this slow song the commercial is balanced. To make visuals and the background song go in Sync I have used Rhythmic Editing.
Sound...
The sound that is used in this film is just a background track
There was no use of the Sound from the location.
The song in the background I have used as a jingle is Peter
Allan's - I Still Call Australia Home.
CAMERA: Sony MINI-DV DCR-HC42
TAPES: DK mini DV (ME)

Australia Bids Farewell to Queen Elizabeth 2 Ocean Liner
ANCHOR:
Australia's bidding a fond farewell to the Queen Elizabeth 2. Donned as the world's most famous ocean liner, it is on a final rendezvous around the world. Our Sydney correspondent Richard Szabo has more.
STORY:
The sun rises on a cool and quiet Sunday morning, as Queen Elizabeth 2 arrives in Sydney. It's a farewell voyage for the beloved luxury ship, after 30 years to the day since her first visit to Sydney.
QE2 is remembered for setting a standard for elegant cruising with lavish cabins, white-gloved service and graceful public space.
As the ship nears and docks in Garden Island, people gathered take some snaps or do some laps. Others just prefer to drift up-close.
[Romilla Goventer, spectator]:
"It's absolutely beautiful and I am so excited and I wish I was on it. It signifies royalty, it's a dream to be on it and the people on it are really lucky."
A ride on QE2 does not come for free, with some passengers paying as much as $180,000 for 106-day world trip.
[Michael Lau, spectator]:
"Yeah if I had the time I would try it, but I think it's worth it. This is a long journey but I think it provides good service to the passengers."
[Romilla Goventer, spectator]:
"I wish I would win the lotto."
Despite her many years of service, QE2 is still the fastest merchant ship in operation.
[Matthew Parr, tugboat enthusiast]:
"It is a very interesting ship, because it has what we call Z propulsion systems on it. These Z propulsion engines only have one gear and they can rotate the unit 360 degrees all in one movement. So that makes the ship very maneuverable and they don't need as many tugboats on it."
Although Queen Victoria, a new addition to the Cunard line of ships, has just been christened in Sydney -- this final trip doesn't mean the end for QE2.
[Matthew Parr, tugboat enthusiast]:
"Usually for a ship to be that old it usually goes to the scappers, but the QE2 has now been sold to Dubai and it is going to be very similar to the Queen Mary, which is in Longbeach, California. It is going to be a floating hotel and it is going to Dubai at the end of November this year."
[Correspondant Richard Szabo]:
"Like the two sisters, Queen Victoria celebrates the golden age of ocean travel, back in the days when traveling in style was more important than the destination. Richard Szabo, NTDTV, Sydney." |

thank u guys!
ARE YOU SURE by J-AX:
Are you sure i'm
really the right man for you?
Sure that you don't want another man?
perhaps a little bit better?
Are you sure that you want one
who has a war in the mind?
Are you sure that you want to pick clothes up from the floor?
Are you sure to endure the smell
of bad mood and socks?
Are you sure that you won't break my heart
as the others did?
Are you sure i'll be able
to give you everything you like?
Are you sure i protect you?
Are you sure there will be good weather?
CHORUS:
Are you sure to be not too much beautiful for me?
I would not insist but it's?
Clear...
Are you sure to be not too much beautiful for me?
I authorize you to laugh...
Why?
I try to explain,
to rationalize
and i write this stupid song
that does not know
talk about you...talk about you...
Are you sure to have patience
and to wanna travel?
Are you sure to remain awake
in a room to wait?
Are you sure 'cause without wanting
i could hurt you...
Are you sure?
'Cause i'm so happy
that i can't just think!!!
(CHORUS)
All the words
Seem so much little...
They can't explain...
I can't believe..
Are you sure that...
(CHORUS) |

Capital Country is one of the oldest established areas in the country; this region combines the vitality and energy of Canberra with the tranquility of an established rural landscape.
Close to Sydney and wrapped around Canberra; it is set in one of Australia's handsomest landscapes, a fascinating mix of heritage towns and villages, stunning country gardens and beautiful waterways.
This is a place to revel in, to revisit the past and refresh the spirit.
You'll delight in tasting local fare, making the most of scenic walks, exploring caves, visiting galleries, helping out on a working farm, mixing with the locals, discovering early colonial buildings and spring gardens.
One of the highlights of this area are the magnificent gardens that come in all shapes and sizes, from a few hanging baskets of bloom to acres of landscaped gardens with many open to the public.
There is always something around the corner to surprise you at Capital Country - an interesting little road, a glorious garden, a delightful little restaurant or an exquisite antique shop.
Canberra itself is packed with national landmarks and the city boasts a lively cultural calendar and is abundant with great restaurants and cafes. A short drive away you'll find quaint colonial villages and some of Australia's most fertile farming country. There are orchards, wineries, and renowned wool and cattle properties.
So, visit Capital Country and enjoy a breath of fresh air.

It's OK to joke about Australia. But whatever you do, don't try and joke about TA's latest campaign
TOURISM SPOOF NOT BLOODY FUNNY
http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/tourism-spoof-not-bloody-funny/2006/03/27/1143330976912.html
A comedy writer has been forced to take down an online spoof of the controversial "where the bloody hell are you" TV ad after legal threats.
OPEN LETTER TO TOURISM AUSTRLIA
http://www.adnews.com.au/
I checked out the spoof ad at Downwind Media's website (you know the link), along with 35,000 others in the first 48 hours apparently, and had a laugh. Didn't think much of it though, just a bit of fun. But your reaction set me thinking. Is irreverence really such an Australian trait when you tourism blokes were so heavy-handed? Can you really be such a fun-loving bunch with a great sense of irony (not like those Americans, eh) when you can't even take a joke?
NEW VERSIONS OF "BLOODY" SPOOF ONLINE:
http://www.downwindmedia.com
Due to legal pressure from Tourism Australia, new versions of the "Where The Bloody Hell Are You?" Spoof are now avaliable from Downwind.Media's website. There are four new versions each has a variation of the musical score, one is a special remix by ARIA nominated producer Fatt Dex feat. the Crazy Bunyip.

TOURIST BOARD SLAMS FILMMAKER'S BLOODY CHEEK
(Daily Telegraph 26/03/06)
"The trouble is this spoof is that it's just not very funny" Tourism Australia managing director Scott Morrison said. "Through out the campaign we've maintained a healthy sense of humor"

More aussie comedy and legal issues:
Yes, my rascal friend down under has gotten in trouble again. This time, it's not the Muslims who are up in arms, but a company called Travel Australia.
Travel Australia claims that the music in the parody rips off the music in the original ad campaign. They're not actually alleging plagiarism, or maybe they sort of are, but essentially the claim seems to be, "The music from your parody of our ad campaign mocks our original music too effectively. Please cease and desist."

SYDNEY: It had to happen. Tourism Australia's successful spin on problems getting its "Bloody" ad through advertising gatekeepers overseas has helped spawn a spoof version.
