Read this before you comment! This is the new version of RuBot by Pete Redmond from Dublin, Ireland. It's very different to the prototype but it has to be the coolest looking robot solver ever. There are cameras in the eyes of the head that scan the cube before the pneumatic arms solve it. It usually solves the Cube in about 35 seconds (not including the scan) no matter how much it is mixed up.
The solving algorithm is taken care of by Herbert Kociemba's Cube Explorer software and usually solves the cube in a maximum of about 20 moves. In this video, the cube wasn't mixed up too hard so RuBot was able to find the optimum solution.
Thanks to all of those who think it is too good to be true. That is a real compliment! If you still don't believe it, Look at the other RuBot videos - they have better scrambles. Or better still, call in on one of RuBot's live demonstrations. By the way, that's my daughter in the clip with RuBot. |

This is the robot: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OF50M4?ie=UTF8&tag=demonbaby-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B000OF50M4
When I brought home a Roboquad robot the other day and started playing with it, our resident guardian K9 was none too pleased. I decided to put Roboquad in "autonomous" mode, set his aggression level to high, and let the battle unfold.

Note: The robot is acting fully on its own, I was not controlling it in any way. |

The Most Advanced Quadruped Robot on Earth
BigDog is the alpha male of the Boston Dynamics family of robots. It is a quadruped robot that walks, runs, and climbs on rough terrain and carries heavy loads. BigDog is powered by a gasoline engine that drives a hydraulic actuation system. BigDog's legs are articulated like an animal's, and have compliant elements that absorb shock and recycle energy from one step to the next. BigDog is the size of a large dog or small mule, measuring 1 meter long, 0.7 meters tall and 75 kg weight. |

GET THE DVD! http://www.howtodotherobot.com
so you think you can dance huh? you think so?
Hay You! This is a lesson from the totally dope, amazingly random, stupendously good HOW TO DO THE ROBOT instructional DVD.
But hey, don't trust us! Check out the reviews on Amazon. Search "How To Do The Robot" or go there directly: http://www.amazon.com/How-Do-Robot-Breakdance-Instructional/dp/B000MR9JA8/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-3602944-6639036?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1173954451&sr=8-2
Anyway!
In this lesson you will learn how to properly do the robot stop. Like the click when it locks into place. Like the sound of metal against metal when those gears find a resting point. Sharp like steel, yet fluid like water, the robot stop, once mastered, will make people think that they are on drugs while they watch you move. Why? Because you look so

Toyota's robot violinist has 17 computer-controlled joints in its arms and fingers, which allow it to hold the violin, gently draw the bow, and correctly press the strings against the fingerboard. In a recital held at a Toyota showroom in Tokyo on December 6, the 152-centimeter (5-ft) tall humanoid entertained guests with a rendition of "Pomp and Circumstance." |

(Note:I Did Not Make This) This movie belongs to the people who created it (The director,The writer etc). Here are the three Laws just incase you couldn't read them
Law 1: A Robot may not injure a human being or through inaction allow a human being come to harm
Law 2:A Robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law
Law 3: A Robot must protect it's own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second law |

Snake robots can use their many internal degrees of freedom to thread through tightly packed volumes and access locations that people and machinery otherwise cannot. These highly articulated devices can coordinate their internal degrees of freedom to perform a variety of locomotive gaits that go beyond the capabilities of conventional wheeled and legged robots. The true power of these devices is their versatility; they can crawl, climb, swim, and scale flights of stairs.

One of the most surprising robots that appeared at the 9th Robo-One competition held here in Tokyo on March 18-19th, 2006, was LAYERED-X developed by Asurada. Its unique design allows it to reconfigure and transform itself into some amazing shapes. At first it looks like a short tower, then becomes a carousel, then a walking spider, then into a tall biped battle robot. It can even transform an arm into a new leg and keep on fighting. Really amazing. For the latest robot news, information, hacks, photos, and videos with special on-site coverage from Japan, see Robots Dreams at http://www.robots-dreams.com |

Robot High School is a music video directed by Roel Wouters with music by My Robot Friend.
Despite how it may appear, the video was shot in a single take with no significant computer-generated effects added, just some minor post-production cleanup.
Robot High School allegorically questions what happens when our perspective and views of reality are manipulated by those in authority without any moral concern for the outcome.
Robot High School is the title track on My Robot Friend's newest album due in 2008. You can download free copies of the video and song and find out the latest news about the album at: http://www.robothighschool.com |

By Garnet Hertz (2005) "Cockroach Controlled Mobile Robot" is an experimental mechanism that uses a living Madagascan hissing cockroach atop a modified trackball to control a three-wheeled robot. If the cockroach moves left, the robot moves left. Infrared sensors also provide navigation feedback to the cockroach, striving to create a pseudo-intelligent system with the cockroach as the CPU. |
