God bless the christian copts. |

History of Zionism, US support for Israel and AntiArab / Anti Islam Media Coverage. Dr Abdallah schleifer. Abdallah Schleifer, Distinguished Lecturer in Mass Communication and Director of the Adham Center for Television Journalism at AUC, is a veteran journalist who has covered the Middle East for American and Arab media for more than 20 years.
Schleifer served as NBC News radio correspondent and TV producer/reporter in the Middle East from 1970 to 1983. Initially based in Beirut, Schleifer was the NBC News Cairo bureau chief from 1974 to 1983. During that time he conducted or produced numerous television interviews with Arab and Islamic heads of state, including Egypt's President Mubarak, the late President Sadat, King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, the late King Hussein of Jordan, Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat, the late President Zia El Haq of Pakistan as well as with leading political, cultural and religious personalities throughout the region. He covered every major conflict in the region, all Arab and Islamic summits, the Indo-Pakistani War, the rise and fall of the Palestinian fedayeen, Egypt's post-war political and economic "Open Door" policies and the oil development boom in Arabia.
Schleifer left NBC News to join the AUC faculty in the fall of 1983 as an Honorary Senior Fulbright Fellow and as a full professor but with the title Distinguished Lecturer. He was described at the time of his AUC appointment by then NBC News President Reuven Frank as "the most competent Cairo bureau chief we ever had and clearly our most encyclopedic expert on the Middle East." Tom Pettit, NBC News Executive Vice President at that time, said: "Abdallah Schleifer has been a scholar in reporter's clothing, even though he's probably covered more wars, revolutions, hijackings, assassinations and general chaos in his region than anyone else I know."
When Schleifer joined AUC he was charged with the mission to establish a TV news-training center. The result-The Adham Center for Television Journalism-has been hailed by voices as diverse as Muhammed Jasim Al Ali, managing director of Al Jazeera satellite channel; Joe Foote, director of the Walter Cronkite Center for Journalism and Broadcasting at Arizona State University; Al Hayat newspaper; Peter Einstein, CEO of Showtime Arabia; Egypt Today; Sheikh Saleh Kamel, President of ART; Middle East Broadcast and Satellite, Digital Studio and other trade magazines, as the outstanding training center for television journalism in the Middle East.
Schleifer also serves as director of the Sony Gallery for Photography, which is part of the Adham Center, and as publisher and senior editor of the electronic journal TBS (Transnational Broadcasting Studies), which is produced biannually by the Adham Center and which has been acclaimed widely in both academic and industry circles. |

In 1979 a carefully domestic and foreign orchestrated mass-hysteria engulfed Iran through which the Islamists were able to bring down the Iranian Government by force. With orders from the Iranian Emperor not to open fire on demonstrators the Islamists were able to use this weakness to bring down the Iranian Government and secure a declaration of neutrality by the Imperial Armed Forces of Iran.
European states, amongst them Britain and France alongside the Carter Administration in the U.S. had years in advance come to an agreement that it was not in their interest to support a free, progressive, prosperous, and independent government in Iran - which is what the Pahlavi Emperors had accomplished in a very small timespan. With the late Shah of Iran demanding better terms and conditions for Persian Gulf oil to be sold the "power men" in these countries had decided to destabilize Iran and support a fanatical Islamic regime which would provide better terms and better aligned with their interests in aquiring cheap oil and keeping nation's in central asia and the middle east backward - which couldn't have been achieved any better than supporting an islamic insurgency.
Once unrest broke out in Iran the Shahanshah of Iran in order to defuse the explosive atmosphere and threat to Iran's integrity pleaded that these people seize their activities which where harming the state and that political reform would be accelerated.
The "unholy" Islamist/Communists alliance would never have accepted this and armed rebellion against the Iranian Government was pursued.
The Shahanshah, suffering from cancer, in an ultimate bid to save the country appointed H.E. Shahpour Bakhtiar to the Premiership and asked him to do whatever was in his power to save the country from total destruction. Upon appointing Bakhtiar to the Premiership, the Shahanshah decided that leaving Iran might defuse the tensions already running high in the country.
Orders had been given by the Shahanshah that soldiers where not to open fire on the demonstrators and that Iranian blood would not be shed under his orders. The Shahanshah suffering from cancer and incapable of being in a decision-making position had too much trust in the silent majority of his nation.
The Red/Black (Islamist/Communist) alliance with immense foreign support suceeded in taking over Iran and begin a rule of terror and oppression. The Islamists were quick to usurp all power and killed thousands of those who they had allied with before.
The Shahanshah of Iran passed away in Egypt, where a long-standing and honorable friend of the Iranian Nation - President Sadat - arranged a state funeral for one of the Greatest Iranians in history.
One of Shahanshah's last wishes was to one day be buried next to the heroes who defended the country and stayed loyal to the Iranian Monarchy to the last breath. |

I made this video today to remind all so called liberals about all iranian patriots who have been killed by islamic --leftist terrorists, so columbia university and all those so called liberals should be ashamed about their deeds.
Islam kills iranian nationalists with the help of iranian leftists since 1979. Now the columbia university invited ahmadinejad the islamic terrorist to hold a speech. All this so called liberals should feel shame about their evil deeds
In 1979 masses of anti-Iranians, islamics and brainwashed leftists gathered on the streets of Iran in order to take over the country with backing by European states and the Carter Administration.
The Shahanshah of Iran in order to defuse to explosive atmosphere and threat to Iran's integrity pleaded that these people seize their activities which where harming the state and that political reform would be accelerated.
The Islamist/Communists alliance (!) would never have accepted this and armed rebellion against the Iranian Government was pursued.
The Shahanshah in an ultimate bid to save the country appointed H.E. Shahpour Bakhtiar to the Premiership and told him to do his best in saving the country from total destruction. The Shahanshah also decided that leaving Iran might defuse the tensions already running high in the country.

TEN 10 Good Morning Australia Opener Sadat Assassination 1981.
This opener aired across Australia on the 0-10 Network on the morning of October 7, 1981.
The hosts of Good Morning Australia at the time were Gordon Elliot and Sue Kellaway. The Newsreader is longtime TEN Presenter and Reporter, Tim Webster.
Sue Kellaway would switch to Channel 9 just months later to join Steve Liebman for the launch of TODAY on Nine in 1982.
The Assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat was fresh, it had only occurred hours before GMA went to air (October 6 in Cairo). As a result, Channel 9 at the time without a breakfast News programme was forced to cross live to ITN in London and screen News at TEN.
It's interesting to see GMA's news segment titled "National Eyewitness News", not used in 0-10s evening newscasts, just "Eyewitness News".
While Good Morning Australia was seen on all TEN stations it was hardly national. Western Australia, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and ACT were not in the loop at the time, not having a TEN station or affiliate.
Perhaps it was more a reference to the opposition newscasts, Channel 7 at the the time had "Seven National News" and Channel 9 to this day has "National Nine News". |

President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown just completed two days of talks at the Camp David presidential retreat. This isolated mountain retreat, named for President Dwight D. Eisenhower's grandson, is located 100 kilometers north of Washington, DC. 81 hectares in area, it is reserved for the private use of the President of the United States. Press access to the resort is tightly restricted, except for the occasional photo opportunity. VOA's George Dwyer was able to speak with some area residents who live in the shadow of Camp David to discuss its effect on their communities.
Camp David has served U.S. presidents and their families as a summer hideaway since 1942 -- offering a cool mountain respite from the sometimes-stifling summer heat of Washington, D.C. But Camp David is also used at other times of the year, as a uniquely private place for both business and relaxation.
"Camp David is an isolated area. Tourists cannot get close to it, it is fenced off (and) there is a large amount of government property there," says Presidential historian Michael Barrone. He says the camp's isolation also makes it an ideal location for hosting foreign leaders and staging, sometimes, intensive negotiations as well.
"President George W. Bush has hosted foreign leaders there --P rime Minister Tony Blair of Britain, who's just recently retired as Prime Minister, and several others have gone up there. And President Jimmy Carter conducted negotiations at Camp David with Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, and Egyptian president Anwar Sadat, and they reached an agreement known as the Camp David Accords in 1978, I believe it was."
Cozy is a resort complex just 10 kilometers from Camp David. Less exclusive than its more famous neighbor, it is still about as close as most people will ever get to experience Camp David itself. There is even a Camp David Museum.
News clippings and photographs of American Presidents going back to Franklin Roosevelt in 1942 are a reminder of Thurmont's special status in the shadow of history.
Sometimes stories of what happens up on the mountain retreat known as Camp David find their way into headlines and history books. But much of what is known about Camp David comes from the local people here who are its neighbors. |

Muslims and Arabs across the globe:
Reject hate, embrace love. Bring out the best in Islam by showing your compassion, gratitude and forgiveness. Make the holy land truly holy by giving Israel and the Jewish people the respect they deserve in their tiny little country. This is not a crisis over land. It is a crisis of the soul; a crisis in our faith, judgment and self confidence. Israel should not be regarded as an enemy, but as a blessing to our neighborhood. We need not fear peace, but embrace it.
http://www.arabsforisrael.com
We are Arabs and Moslems who believe:
• We can support Israel and still support the Palestinian people. Supporting one does not cancel support for the other.
• We can support the State of Israel and the Jewish religion and still treasure our Arab and Islamic culture.
• There are many Jews and Israelis who freely express compassion and support for the Palestinians. We Arabs also express reciprocal compassion and support.
• The existence of the State of Israel is a fact that we accept.
• Israel is a legitimate state that is not a threat but an asset in the Middle East.
• Every major World religion has a center of gravity. Islam has Mecca, and Judaism certainly deserves its presence in Israel and Jerusalem.
• Diversity is a virtue not only in the USA, but would be beneficial around the world. We support a diverse Middle East with protection for human rights, respect and equality under the law to all minorities, including Jews and Christians.
• Palestinians have several options but are deprived from exercising them because of their leadership, the Arab League and surrounding Arab and Moslem countries who have other goals besides seeing Palestinians live in harmony with Israel.
• If Palestinians want democracy they can start practicing it now.
• It will benefit Arabs to end the boycott of Israel.
• We can resolve our conflicts using non-violent means. Sending our young people on suicide/homicide missions as a form of Jihad is a distortion of Islam. We can do better.
• We are appalled by the horrific act of terror against the USA on 9/11/2001.
• It will be better for Arabs when the Arab media ends the incitement and misinformation that result in Arab street rage and violence. We support the Arab media providing coverage of ways that people of all religions are and can live together in harmony.
• We are eager to see major reformation in how Islam is taught and channeled to bring out the best in Moslems and contribute to the uplifting of the human spirit and advancement of civilization.
• We believe in freedom to choose or change one's Religion.
• We cherish and acknowledge the beauty and contributions of the Middle East culture, but recognize that the Arab/Moslem world is in desperate need of constructive self-criticism and reform.
• We seek dialogue with Israel. We invite you to join us on a path of love.
We are NOT:
• Anti-Islam, Anti-Arab, confrontational or hateful.
We remember with deep sadness and respect the brave Arabs, known and unknown, who were killed or severely punished for promoting peace with Israel; a special thanks to President Anwar Sadat of Egypt who was killed at the hands of Militant and Radical Islamists after he signed the peace treaty with Israel.
We salute and commend Arab and Moslem writers, scholars and speakers, who found the strength, commitment and honesty in their hearts to speak out in support of Israel. We thank you for being the pioneers that you are and for holding such sophisticated and advanced views in the realm of Arab and Moslem thinking. You are inspiring us all. |

ARABS AND MOSLEMS WHO WISH TO POST THEIR VIEWS IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL CAN DO SO BY EMAILING US. WE WILL THEN POST THEM ANONYMOUSLY, IF THEY WISH. Please send all correspondence to: nonie@arabsforisrael.com
To Muslims and Arabs across the globe:
Reject hate, embrace love. Bring out the best in Islam by showing your compassion, gratitude and forgiveness. Make the holy land truly holy by giving Israel and the Jewish people the respect they deserve in their tiny little country. This is not a crisis over land. It is a crisis of the soul; a crisis in our faith, judgment and self confidence. Israel should not be regarded as an enemy, but as a blessing to our neighborhood. We need not fear peace, but embrace it.

ULI JON ROTH - from the awesome Transcendental Sky Guitar
In the early 1970s, Roth formed a band called Dawn Road. In 1973 he temporarily joined Scorpions, replacing guitarist Michael Schenker (brother of Scorpions guitarist Rudolf) who had left to join UFO. Michael had a reputation as a highly skilled technical player; Scorpions disbanded after he left the group. The "new" Scorpions were, in effect, a merger between the four members of Dawn Road, (Uli Jon Roth, Achim Kirschning, Francis Buchholz, Jürgen Rosenthal) and the two remaining Scorpions members, Rudolf Schenker and Klaus Meine.[1] During his tenure as lead guitarist and a main songwriter for the Scorpions, the band released five very influential records, including the live album Tokyo Tapes, which sold nearly one million copies and went gold in several countries.
Some later Scorpions releases with Roth began to exhibit a stylistic split in songwriting. Roth-composed songs were influenced by classical music and Jimi Hendrix, but songs involving Rudolph Schenker as composer leaned towards straight hard rock and pop hard rock. This split reflected Roth's growing dissatisfaction with his role in the band. He began investigating spiritually oriented subjects in his private life, like his influence Jimi Hendrix did towards the latter half of his career. Roth left the Scorpions in 1978.
Roth formed his own band named Electric Sun which released three albums. The first, Earthquake (1979), was dedicated to the spirit of Jimi Hendrix and featured cover art by artist Monika Danneman, Jimi Hendrix's former girlfriend who had been with him when he died in 1970, and who became Roth's partner afterwards. A second album released two years later, Fire Wind (1981), was dedicated to Anwar el-Sadat (the assassinated President of Egypt who had tried to make peace in the Middle East), featured a song called "Enola Gay" which was about the atomic bombing of Japan, and cover art by Monika Dannemann.
Interviews with some original Scorpions members after the release of these albums demonstrated how far the two parties had grown apart. Matthias Jabs, the guitarist who replaced Roth, told the press that he thought Roth was "lost" musically[citation needed]. This may have referred to the commercial success Roth had stepped away from that the Scorpions were still experiencing. Roth's records were released on the much smaller German Metronome Musik label. Roth's move into deeper spiritual and political subjects was opposite that of the Scorpion's foray into more "good-time" subjects accompanied by MTV-style videos showing the band at parties and in 1980's era fantasy heavy metal settings. The two band's public images were starkly different: the Scorpions favored skin tight leotard style clothing typical of the 80's while Roth leaned more towards a loose, flowing Hendrix-influenced style of dress.
In the 1980's, Roth commissioned construction of custom guitars with additional frets (32). He called them Sky guitars and used them on his last Electric Sun album Beyond the Astral Skies (which was dedicated to Martin Luther-King and to Roth's fans), released in 1985. Since then, Roth entered a new phase of creative work, composing a.o. four symphonies and two concertos, and sometimes performing with symphony orchestras throughout Europe.
The untimely death of Roth's girlfriend and spiritual partner Monika Danneman April 5 1996 was reported a suicide; she had just lost a legal battle with a former Hendrix girlfriend and was due to be described in a book about the last days of Hendrix in a negative light. However, Roth publicly stated his opinion that her passing had been the result of foul play[citation needed]. Roth dedicated later works to the memory of Ms. Danneman.
Roth appeared in concert at Castle Donington in 2001 with original Scorpions lead guitarist Michael Schenker, and critics noted the healthy appearance of Roth and his mastery of his material, but described Schenker as past his prime. These reviews ended comments of Roth being "lost" musically by his former Scorpions bandmates, now that Roth had developed into a polished and successful artist while the commercial pop success of his former band had faded.
On June 2, 2007 at the Rock am Ring festival in Germany, Roth joined The Smashing Pumpkins on stage for their epic cl | | | | |
