The band was formed in 1983 by Paul Heaton (vocals), Stan Cullimore (guitar), Ted Key (bass) and Chris Lang (drums). The band's membership changed quite a lot over the years. Ted Key was replaced by Norman Cook — the future Fatboy Slim — and drummer Chris Lang was replaced by Hugh Whitaker, former drummer with The Gargoyles, who in turn was replaced with Dave Hemingway.
In 1986, having recorded two John Peel sessions, the band broke through with the single "Happy Hour", which reached No.3 in the UK charts. The single's success was helped by a claymation animated pop promo of a type that was in vogue at the time, featuring a cameo by TV comedian Phill Jupitus, who toured with the band under the stage name "Porky the Poet". At the end of the same year, they narrowly missed out on the Christmas No.1 single with a cover version of Isley Jasper Isley's "Caravan of Love", when it was knocked off the top spot by Jackie Wilson's "Reet Petite" on 23 December. |

I don't know if this song fits perfect for this video?
At first it wasn't a date but now its sord of is a date but they don't think it is. About it its suppse to be about Phil being jealous of Keeley flirting with another guy. For me I thought this fits perfect with the video. Keeley figures out that she has feelings for Phill.
This is my first ever video that I made so I still have more to get use to this stuff. So please bare with me. Right now I can only make Phileey Videos. Also I know I messed up at the end lol.

In 2009, the UK national ID card scheme is in full swing. Leave home without one and you're a suspect.
Benjamin Novak chooses to opt-out of the scheme on ethical grounds. When police are called in to investigate the vandalism of his business, he finds the investigation taking a disturbing turn - he himself is detained whilst the authorities 'verify his identity'.
Ben quickly finds himself in a test of courage against a hot-shot detective, and facing a family he doesn't recognise anymore...
DIRECTOR'S COMMENTS...
This was the final film made as part of my BA (Hons) Television Production degree at Bournemouth University. I wanted to make a film that was provocative and would encourage debate on an issue that I feel is extremely important: mandatory ID cards.
BBC News clips are used under the Creative Commons licence, from the BBC News Open Archive.
Almost every shot in the film is handheld, and hopefully this gives it a greater sense of realism (this element was inspired by the awesome Battlestar Galactica). As it's set in the future, there's an issue of getting the audience to suspend their disbelief, and I think the doc-style was ultimately the right choice (if a little too shaky at times).

Brandon Carmody is currently directing 24X a dark and comedic "parody" based on X-Files meets 24. We are in no way associated with FOX or 24 this is for entertainment only. Thank you to the amazing cast members who are helping me live this dream I could not have done it without you. I have been dreaming of this project for months and there were many times I feared it wasn't going to happen. Right now we have agreed to make episodes 1-4 and then play it by ear based on how well YOU TUBE audiences get into it so this will be a very interactive experience for all of us. If our show can develop a fan base that truly follows our program/plot and wants to see our show continue we will see what we can work out. It's also a bonus that there is an X-Files movie on the way I never expected to be making a sequel to my 2005 short film "Mammoth X" but this is the perfect time to turn my short film into a series and merge these concepts into one awesome TV show for YOU TUBE.
I am fortunate to have a small and amazing cast ready to help make this a cool show. They are the real magic of 24X.
Major filming date is Sunday March 30th I am very excited!
