In Lilo and Stitch 2, Lilo and Stitch both had problems but I felt they weren't always sure how to help each other out, as much as they wanted to. Lilo had problems with finding confidence for a hula competition, and while Stitch is all for helping her, his glitch always seems to get in the way.
One of four videos where I use a popular song to summarise each of the movies. For "Leroy and Stitch" I used "When There Was Me and You" from "High School Musical", and for the original "Lilo and Stitch" I used "Run" by "Snow Patrol". For "Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch", here I use one of the most amazing songs of 2006, "America" from a great band called "Razorlight".

I can't believe out of all the Lilo and Stitch/Avril Lavigne videos I've seen, I've never seen one with this song. This video is seen from Lilo's view in Leroy and Stitch, how she was feeling when Stitch left. I think this song works well, and it's gotta be my favourite Avril song now.

OK, long description time...
Following the trailers I did for my own sequel idea, L&S 3: Hamsterviel's Revenge, I actually got started on my own script, which is still currently being written. Anyway, in my own story, as well as Stitch having to save Lilo from the clutches of Hamsterviel, Angel is also pregnant with his baby. And in this "flashback" scene, after getting injuries from a battle against Hamsterviel and the Leroy clones, Stitch is left with just minutes to live, and Lilo crying at his side. His life flashes before his eyes just before he dies again. But through remembering these flashbacks, it reminds him of the future he still has to have with Lilo, Angel, and his child, so as it turns out, he still isn't ready to die yet. So he wakes up and is reunited with his family (haven't quite got it all written yet so please try not to ask.)
When a scene flashes to another, it means he's having a flashback. When it fades to another (apart from at the start), it means it's returning to the present day. I've used Stitch's death scenes from Stitch Has a Glitch, just to give you an idea.
This has got to be one of, if not, the most emotional video I've made so far. When I finished it and played it back to myself, I actually cried. Enjoy!

The reason the Lilo & Stitch 2 castle is the only one with a watermark is because the AOA DVD Ripper I used doesn't support L&S 2's DTS audio format and gives me a silent video clip. So I had to use another DVD ripper that supports DTS audio to get the L&S 2 castle with sound. I would have been irked if I couldn't get it with sound to complete the video. It's my favorite of the castles! |

It is mainly about how much they miss each other in the "Leroy & Stitch" movie. Whereas the U.S. trailers for Lilo & Stitch were all about a wild trouble-making alien, the Japanese trailer really hits the core of the film: An outcast little girl wants nothing more than a friend, and finds one in an outcast alien.
The voiceover even summarizes the film as "One lonely girl; one lonely alien."
One interesting dialog change is where Stitch is alone with the Ugly Ducklings book. In the original English, he says, "I'm lost!" but here in Japanese he wonders, "Where is MY family?"
This is a very typical Japanese trailer in that it has the characters doing their own little voiceover bits that are not from the actual movie, and it has an "image song": This trailer was, as the large text indicates, the world premiere of the Faith Hill song "Baby, You Belong" -- a song not associated with the movie at all in the U.S.
The voiceover by Stitch states that Lilo is his family, but at the rate things are going, the family is in danger -- thus he tearfully says, "Sayounara, Lilo!" Lilo's voiceover is pretty much a repeat of what is said by her and Nani earlier: "Stitch is family. A family is always together."
The text at the very end of the trailer, before the announcement of the opening date, reads, "You will never forget this chance meeting..." |
