This is a clip where you can see my house in both clients, sadly I couldn't get fraps working with the 2D client so screenshots was the best I could do.
I've been playing for about 5 years now, so in my opinion both clients have flaws that rub you the wrong way. The 2D client has a lot of new items added to the game that doesn't fit in with the rest of the graphics, the new UOKR client has a lot of graphic glitches and for example a dyetub or banner has one solid colour instead of just the dye or banner being coloured. These are just examples, they are both very beautiful and serve their purpose well.

*EDIT* there won't be anymore videos, losing everything I ever owned in UO in 2 secs was it for me. UO is still a great game with a lot of history... but like every other game it has it's flaws... sadly it has too many which is what the problem is. I wish I could go back to UO but I just can't get back all the things I lost, this video is the last pictures of my house. It was known as the Umbra University and played a part in many Role-Playing events on Europa. I hope people will remember it for what it was and honor the effort our Umbrian citizens and allies put into it. Rest in Peace... Umbra [Umb]. |

Went out for a sail. Had to cut it short, not by choice but because the client crashed. Sailing in Kingdom Reborn is even worse than 2D. Also notice the chat text appearing in the top left corner (that bug has been there for months) and the buff bar icon under my health bar (a legacy bug from 2D). |

As you might notice the client still has a lot of glitches, I had problems using a spell (Recall) to take me out of the Dungeon Doom.
I would've recorded more of the areas around Umbra but sadly the client is too laggy for my computer. The areas around Umbra is infested with monsters so obviously running around these areas using the new client isn't the best thing to do.
Still the graphic is beautiful, I'm eagerly awaiting the next patch of the new Ultima Online 3d client.
For those of you who don't know, Ultima Online: Kingdom Reborn has been released. It's avaliable for free on the Ultima Online site, a subcription is required to play of course but the client itself is free to download. |

I know this isn't a classic game, well at least the graphics are not. But still EA has attempted to breath some life into Ultima Online, and for me thats great. I have been playing Ultima Online for a long time, and it seriously needed a face lift, despite what those old Ultima Online Geezers say.
I do love the 2D client, but over the years that login, UI, and my character starts to look kind of dull. So, this is what Ultima Online needed even if it dies.
