This is one of the latest iPod commercials..the song is Flathead by The Fratelli's...when i first heard it, it got stuck in my head for days.
So, I'm playing around with some newly acquired capture equipment and naturally this commercial was among the ones i recorded. Since I'm a bit of an audio guy...I completely replaced the broadcast audio with CD audio...edited to match the original commercial cut to within a few hundredths of a second. I didn't take someone else's video and do the audio...i captured this with my own hardware. I was bored and enjoy splicing audio. (original was in stereo...youtube ruins the audio) |

When I debuted VoidStar, my all-black, vaguely-anubis-looking lycra "fursuit", some people noted that it looked like an anthropomorphic version of Doctor Who's K9. LJ User NerfCoyote pointed out that on video, it looks like the silhouette people in the iPod commercials.
Putting the two together, and adding in an absolutely awesome remix by JeX (http://www.whomix.trilete.net/?wmid=subreadremixreviews&remixid=214 ), a mashup of the Doctor Who theme song and The Eurythmic's "Sweet Dreams," I knew what I had to do.
After long hours assembling the tools and chromakey footage of the nerdiest white-guy dancing possible, and adding 3D models and rendering and painstaking editing, it's finally finished!

This was just a little bit of fun. I know there is no ipod. It's done in the STYLE of an ipod commercial.
The songs are:

It was edited using Final Cut Pro. Shot against a green screen when I was still in film school at the beginning of last year. There's a lot of distortion in the colours as the lighting in the studio was crappy.
