Again, the lead in lights are barely visible through the rain as the video starts and then we get a great view of the checkerboard through to touchdown. This approach is in the rain. The other video is a little clearer but still grey out. |

Re-edit removing music. This was recorded on the last night that Kai Tak was open. The flight goes over Kai Tak, Hong Kong Island, the new airport, Tsing Ma bridge and into Kai Tak. You can see the lead-in lights as well as people photographing the plane on the last night. This full length approach shows how long it takes to fly the arrival. You can see a copy of the approach at http://www.vatroc.org/english/charts/vhhh/VHXX.pdf Using that chart you can see the arrival basically flys over TH..CH..SL and joins the IGS. |
