Thanks to hellishcrazy for uploading the Hercules and Xena animated movie! The movie was unfortunately a bit of a flop, but when I was younger I owned a copy of it. I truly love Joseph LoDuca's music and this opening piece in particular really sends me into another dimension. I've posted it here because I love it, but also because I took the liberty of editing the audio and video so that it is now lip-synced. Trust me, it wasn't easy. Enjoy! |

PLZZZZZZZZZZ STOP TELLING ME THAT SOME OF THE MOVIES AREN'T DISNEY! IT'S WRITTEN IN THE F***ING DESCRIPTION IF YOU EVER READ IT! *clears throat* Wow, that felt good.
One of Ray Charles songs interpreted by Disney's (ok ok maybe not ALL disney's)characters: Aladdin, Hercules, Quest for Camelot, Lion King 1 and 2, Lady and the Tramp, Robin Hood, The Jungle Book, Sinbad: The Legend of the Seven Seas, Mulan, El Dorado, Hunchback of Notre-Dame, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Spirit stallion of the Cimarron, Prince of Egypt, Snow-White, Tarzan, 101 dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Anastasia, Atlantis: The lost empire, Balto, Treasure Planet, The fox and the hound.
About the beginning: Men doubt they want to stay with their girls, they want freedom
During the song: Woman get mad and don't want to see them anymore
The ending: Men want to make it up to Women and Women realize that they need them (not all the women of course, I mean, if you look at Mulan, she can take care of herself! But you get the idea...). |

I'd been meaning to make a video to this song for a long time, but I really needed the right clips for it. This song is so sweet on its own, so I made it really simple, not full of effects or anything, but I kind of like how it turned out. Hope you do too :)

Wow! Even without the benefit of Sybil Danning's boobs, this poverty row sequel is quite possibly better than the first "Hercules" movie! And by "better" of course I mean incalculably worse! The Amazing Lou Ferrigno - who makes his first appearance here posing in the middle of outer space wearing nothing but disturbingly flesh colored bikini briefs - is once again summoned by Zeus, this time to help locate Zeus's seven lost thunderbolts and thus prevent the Moon from smashing into Earth. (I didn't get it either.) Along the way, Hercules must battle ninja-flipping bigfoot creatures, energy men, a tribe of slime people, and an inordinate number of villians possessing the power of cheap animated eye-lasers. During the big finale (again, in space) Lou actually turns into a crudely drawn cartoon gorilla! This is the type of movie where lines like, "Sweet Oracle of Death, help me to reach the little people" are delivered with a deadpan Shakeperean seriousness. In other words, a definite must-see. |

Now to explain this video, a lot of people asked me if I was gonna do "Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)". Well here it is...it's half AMV/ half credits.
So enjoy! And thanks for all the great comments on these series. I hope to see you guys later in the future and I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas.
P.S. For those wondering, I'm NOT going to do "Mama, I'm A Big Girl Now" I know that's unfortunate. But I've done my part and I don't to do anymore. That is all.

This video features the sidekicks of our favourite animated characters. Well, some of them, anyway. I wanted to include others, like Max the dog (The Little Mermaid) and the mice from Cinderella, but I wanted to keep the clips even, at least to some extent, so I didn't end up putting them in.
I don't usually use effects like these, but they seemed to fit this song, so I just went for it.
Anyway, I think Abu, Phil, Rajah, Meeko, Pooka, and the rest of the trusty sidekicks need a bit more recognition, so here's to good friends and good times! :) Hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it :)

I like this song. :-) I learned it by ear, so it's probably out of key, and I didn't want to play the whole thing, so I played the first verse and the chorus, and I made I think two mistakes, but I didn't want to record it a bazillion times, so yeah. Here it is. There's better versions out there, but here's mine anyways. :-D |

Impact on popular culture
Because of its popularity, The Lion King has been referenced in various media. For instance, the animated TV series The Simpsons spoofed the film in the episode, "'Round Springfield". Towards the end of the episode, the ghost of Mufasa appears in the clouds with Bleeding Gums Murphy, Darth Vader, and James Earl Jones (who actually voiced both Mufasa and Darth Vader in their respective movie appearances), saying: "You must avenge my death, Kimba... dah, I mean Simba," a reference to the Lion King/Kimba the White Lion controversy. The scene is concluded with "this is CNN" (also voiced by James Earl Jones). A similar parody scene appeared in the film Kung Pow! Enter the Fist.
Disney has also referenced The Lion King in its own films. In the Disney-released, Pixar-produced 1995 computer animated film Toy Story, the song "Hakuna Matata" can be heard playing in Andy's car during the film's climax. Coincidentally, Tim Allen, who voiced Buzz Lightyear was in Home Improvement with Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who voiced Cub Simba.
In one scene in Episode 166 of Home Improvement, Tim Allen is seen playing with a stuffed Cub Simba toy. He says "Well, I've never played a lion before," just as Jonathan Taylor Thomas comes on screen and replies, "I have and it's a tough gig. Everybody expects you to be king."
Pumbaa made brief appearances in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Aladdin and the King of Thieves, both released in 1996.
The 1997 animated film Hercules paid homage to both The Lion King and the Nemean Lion: Scar's skin is worn by Hercules while he is posing for a painting on a Greek vase. |

This took FOREVER to finish! Like... over a month, so if you enjoy it, PLEASE say so.
I shortened the song because I didn't think I had enough video clips of Chel to fill the entire song
--
I kinda develop obsessions over animated sex-symbols like Betty Boop and Megara from 'Hercules' and, now, Chel. I dunno why... I think it's because they're ultra sexy characters in the animated world and get away with it.
And I love this song so after a few times I had heard it, I started to formulate an idea for a video for it. And almost immediatlly, I thought of Chel.
--
I tried to make it so both Tulio AND Miguel were 'singing' about Chel, because I, personally, LOVE the idea of a Chel/Miguel couple. I think they'd be attracted to each other because of their mutual urge to explore the fasinating even though Tulio and Chel end up as a couple in the movie.

Enjoy! |

Music video of the six Walt Disney animated movies: Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Little Mermaid. I used the song God Help the Outcasts from THoND OST but it's not the version Esmeralda sings in the cathedral... I really like that one so much more, but the lyrics didn't quite match the video itself ("To a gypsy's prayer" instead of "A humble prayer"). I hope I did well on the timing, cause synchronization is what I personally look for when watching a music video... *blush*

The Journal of Edwin Carp
Set to the strains of an early Beethoven quartet, this droll shaggy dog story relates the unfortunate series of misadventures that befalls the title character when he attempts to rectify a small plumbing problem. Based on the book of the same name by Richard Haydn, with illustrations by the renowned British illustrator, Ronald Searle -- whose style inspired the film's design, The Journal of Edwin Carp was created using Flash and After Effects, which is somewhat remarkable considering its hand-drawn look. The loose drawing style and purposefully understated narration is punctuated by a small number of judicious camera moves and oddly shifting perspectives, all of which serves to convey the story's dry humor and whimsical outlook in a most efficacious manner.
Director Richard Bazley has worked for the past decade as a supervising animator for three of the major animation studios, Sullivan Bluth, Walt Disney and Warner Bros. Best known for his supervisory work on The Iron Giant, he was a lead animator on Disney's Hercules and has contributed to Pocahontas, Osmosis Jones and many other animated features. Most recently he was an Animation Supervisor on Steve Oedekerk's Barnyard the Movie and currently at Aardman Storyboarding on series called Chop Socky Chooks. The Journal of Edwin Carp, which is Bazley's directorial debut, received some financial support from Macromedia and Wacom, but was largely self-funded. It has been shown at Laemmle's Theatre on Sunset LA,the Teeside Animation Festival in the U.K. and a number of other venues. The film was Prouduced by Ray Bengston. |

Anime: Ouran high school
I made a Mori amv.
He really doesn't have that much to do in the anime. I found this out when trying to look for clips. It would have been better if the rest of the manga was animated.. I could have included the part with the Tanuki.
It was going to be a tamaki one originally.. but it became Mori.
I also realise that as this is my first lipsynch,it is a little out of flow in places. I apologise. *bows head* |
