O astronauto americano, John Chricton, testando sua nave, entra num buraco de verme e vai parar em outra galáxia. Acidentalmente ele colide com uma nave Peacekeaper. Na colisão morre o piloto, irmão do comandante Peacekeaper, Cap. Krais, que jura vingança e persegue John nas terras não mapeadas.
John Chicton, deve fugir a perseguição de Krais, numa galáxia desconhecida, conviver com seus colegas fugitivos dos Peacekeper em uma nave viva, Moya e tentar encontrar uma maneira de retornar para casa.

Farscape (1999--2003) is a science fiction television series, featuring a present-day astronaut who accidentally travels through a wormhole to a distant part of the galaxy. It was produced by the Jim Henson Company and Hallmark Entertainment, and filmed in Australia. Drawing on Henson's traditional expertise in puppetry, two of the main characters are animatronic puppets.
The show was abruptly cancelled after it had completed production of its fourth season, with a fifth season contracted, effectively ending the series on a cliffhanger. A mini-series in 2004 wrapped up some of the show's hanging plot threads, but a feature film remains a possibility as does another mini-series.

In November 2007, Lisa Gerrard travelled to the Lüneburg Heath, where Klaus Schulze has resided for more than 30 years. It is also home to his private recording studio. For this joint effort six days were scheduled, but "on the first day, we just went out for dinner and didn't play any music at all", recalls Schulze. "I had already prepared the compositions and on the second day we actually recorded about five hours of music straight without a break. This session became Farscape I -- I have never experienced such an exciting thing in my entire career as an artist. The next day was just as intense and this session became Farscape II, another majestic, gripping experience with an exceptional artist", Schulze enthuses.
A great moment of cooperation between true artists was the result!
"Farscape" album is going to be released in June 2008.
