APPLAUSI PER IL QUARTO EPISODIO DELLA SAGA DI RAMBO. (VIDEO INTERVISTA DI GIANLUCA MEOLA E TEASER)- Sono passati più di venti anni anni da quando John Rambo ha messo in naftalina le sue armi. Oggi vive in Thailandia, e per il quarto capitolo della gloriosa saga viene ingaggiato da un gruppo di missionari cristiani per far loro da scorta in una difficile e rischiosa missione umanitaria: portare aiuto ad una popolazione birmana, da lunghi anni oppressa dal regime di Rangoon. Nel corso del viaggio alcuni dei missionari sono fatti prigionieri dall'esercito e Rambo si troverà con un compito ai limiti dell'impossibile: reclutare sul posto un drappello di mercenari per salvare le loro vite. Sly sbarca a Roma per promuovere questo quarto, violentissimo episodio, un vero e proprio tripudio di carne e violenza. L'attore 62enne si mostra in una forma strepitosa: "Il mio segreto per mantenermi così — spiega — sono le mie tre figlie. Devo stare continuamente appresso a loro e non mi fermo un attimo. Un consiglio a tutti gli uomini per stare bene? Semplice: correte dietro ai ragazzini...! ". Poi si corregge, capendo la gaffe: "Ai figli! Ai figli! volevo dire...". Sulla pellicola, accolta con gradimento dalla critica, Stallone dichiara:"Dopo l'ottimismo di Rocky Balboa volevo dimostrare che l'essere umano ha anche un lato oscuro. Ho girato allora il film come se la macchina da presa fossero gli occhi di Rambo: lo sguardo di un guerriero, di un animale, sempre sul chi vive, sempre in tensione, a guardarsi intorno, a controllare la situazione - pronto a scattare". Tra l'analisi del momento del genere Action-Movie e una sua personale classifica(guarda il video)dei quattro episodi c'è spazio anche per qualche risata: "Rambo non fa sesso perché in Vietnam ha avuto un incidente e gli è saltato qualcosa... però ha un lungo coltello! ", la risposta goliardica di Stallone.
Girato in gran parte a Chiang Mai, nel nord est della Thailandia, con un budget tra i 50 e i 60 milioni di dollari, Stallone riveste i panni di Rambo che combatte per salvare le vite di Julie Benz (la serie tv Dexter, Jawbreaker) e Paul Schulze (le serie tv CSI e Sopranos, Panic Room, Zodiac) mentre Sam Elliot, veterano del western e grande caratterista (The Big Lebowski, Ghost rider, Hulk, La bussola d'oro) e Matthew Marsden (Black Hawk Down, Resident Evil: Extinction) recitano nei panni dei mercenari che lo aiuteranno nel suo duro compito. Questa quarta parte potrebbe anticipare la lavorazione di una quinta puntata basata sul tentativo di John Rambo di salvare sua figlia dal rapimento di alcuni fanatici religiosi. Accanto a questo progetto ci sono concrete possibilità che Stallone inizi a girare in primavera Poe, biopic su Edgar Allan Poe - per il protagonista sono stati fatti i nomi di Johnny Depp e Robert Downey Jr. e recentemente di Viggo Mortensen, e in alternativa Clifton Collins Jr. (Traffic, Star Trek) e John Hawkes (CSI, American Gangster) - nonché, per la tv, Notorius, di cui è regista e interprete, ambientato a Los Angeles, sulle morti violente di celebri rapper come Snoop Doggy Dog e Tupac Shaku. |
