These Are the Days of Our Lives" is a song by Queen. It is the eighth track on the album Innuendo, and was mainly written by Roger Taylor.
The accompanying video was the last Freddie Mercury would ever make as he was in the final stages of a battle with AIDS , this makes the song especially upsetting. The video was shot in black and white to hide the full extent of Freddie's faltering condition. Colour production footage of the video later emerged, showing just how frail Freddie really looked, and justifying the band's decision to film in black and white out of respect for him.
Although Roger Taylor seems to play the conga in the video, it was actually Dave Richards, the band's producer at the time, who recorded the conga percussion for the song.
The song is great , it features on reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future. I know i am hardly old enough to reminisce to any great extent but i do miss aspects of my childhood and the simplicity and i hope that emotion is carried through in my performance.
Its a real sad song but i had a lot of fun making it tonight , and this is just an interpretation , its not meant to be an imitation.

This Freddie Mercury impersonation, is yet, still today the best accomplished Freddie look alike performance, ever made on video. In 1992 it was broadcasted on British and Danish television, due to the magnificent resemblance with real Freddie Mercury, and also as a tribute to him. Hope you'll enjoy!
We would like to thank all of you wonderful peopel, who took time, and seriously commented on our video. Dressing up as Freddie Mercury, and reperforming his last official appearance in the Queen video "Days of our lives", wasent an easy decision to make, in fact we did some serious thoughts about it. You have to remember, that this video was produced in 1992, only a couple of months after freddie died, being well aware of the fact that some peopel might get offended in the aftermath. Anyway, we truly believe that freddie would have loved this performance (those of you who knows just a little about his life, would approve with us), the positive feedback we got from Clive Pearse and Jason Orange and the many viewers of Super Channel at that time, convinced us all - it was absolutely enormous. Apparently, we are still living in the aftermath of freddies departure in year 2008. To those of you, who claim themselfs to be real Freddie fans and seriously gets offended by this lookalike performance, get real! (all of your bullshit comments will be deleted) THIS IS NOT FREDDIE MERCURY! even though it looks like him. To all you real Queenies, thanks for your support!
