By the way, if you're wondering why I didn't stick Battlefield Vietnam in or the expansion packs, here's the reason. First of all I didn't stick in Battlefield Vietnam because after a lot of research, I figured out that the creators themselves didn't even consider it a real Battlefield game. Also, nobody liked the game anyway(at least as far as I can tell). Second, I didn't stick the expansions in because they aren't the original games and I don't really like sequals or expansions very much. |

Those who are "Ready for Love" or "Feel Like Makin' Love" can get "Movin' On" to the next story. Such people would be in "Bad Company," as this one's strictly for those who "Can't Get Enough" of Electronic Arts' wartime Battlefield series.
"Rock N' Roll Fantasy."
And for those who don't appreciate agonizingly ham-fisted references to the oeuvre of classic rock band Bad Company, just know that EA today announced the upcoming release of Battlefield: Bad Company on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Series developer Digital Illusions is once again at the helm for Bad Company, and is building the title from the ground up specifically for the next-gen consoles.
While previous Battlefield games have focused heavily on multiplayer action, it seems Bad Company will turn its attention to solo gamers. EA is promising a "deep, cinematic single-player experience" with a mix of action and dark humor. Players will assume control of a squad of renegade soldiers and infiltrate enemy territory to obtain riches as well as revenge. The carnage that ensues will take its toll on the environments as well, as 90 percent of the levels will be destructible.
Fans of online fragfests needn't worry. EA has said that the game will still sport "a full suite" of multiplayer modes familiar to fans of the series. Battlefield: Bad Company is slated for a 2007 release. |

A tribute movie for the game Battlefield 1942 and to some great WW2 movies and all WW2 heroes. Made of only BF1942 sounds and cuts from WW2 diffrent movies. Its around 170 single sounds from BF1942. Some sound is recorded ingame and some are extracted from game files. I worked to get the lipsynk good but not dedicated 100% cuz I focused on a story and variations also. To make this movie I spent around 3 weeks of editing. |

EDIT: Alright, let me get this straight. Everyones been saying that this is from Ballad of black mesa and the other half is saying that its from cs gun sounds while others saying ballad of black mesa was a ripoff from the iPod commercial and the guy who uploaded the cs one was stolen from newgrounds, it's just confusing me. It's basically a BF2 version of the CS gun sounds and all beats and sounds are different. There.

This is a video made by myself in association with the Battle For Europe online Battlefield 1942 tournament. The video depicts the assault on Omaha Beach, one of the bloodiest battles of World War II. The video was made completely with in-game footage using Battlefield 1942 and the Forgotten Hope mod. No sound was recorded from the game, rather I added each and every sound individually for a much better experience. The video was recorded over a period of about a month and took over 2 months to edit. The movie was directed by myself and Kimo. First off, this is an UNOFFICIAL promo; I don't work with Elxx (sadly) or any of the Sir fellows, so consider this just a fan-made advertisement.
This video--though long (sorry, I have a tendency to make them too long) and boring at first--shows off a few of the many possibilities of Sir. Elxx's brilliant Sandbox mod. There are the usual ramps, occasional forts and houses, and even a "wonder" as I like to call it. That "wonder" is [RTS] badmat165's "Destruction Derby." His first one featured a spectator's area above the racetrack, but no biggie, the one recorded is just as amazing.
Sandbox is a mod made by Elxx for the game Battlefield 2. It allows players to "build" whatever they want using a variety of objects extracted from the base game, and with the addition of version 0.4, players can now create spawnpoints (YAY) and summon almost any vehicle in the game--with two new additional vehicles made by Elxx himself, using only in-game skins and textures, though modified slightly.
Truly a brilliant mod, and tons of fun. TRY IT OUT TODAY at:

NOTE: This time around I pushed the graphics to Medium-Low, so it wouldn't look too hideous and would maintain a decent framerate while recording with Fraps.
How I credited the builders/actors/etc.: Basically, I looked through the clips, and if you seemed to contribute (or if I know you did, like in badmat's or Hauptman's case) or build or whatever, I credited you. If you seemed to be a smacktard nub or just didn't do anything, I left you alone.
Also, for Sir. people with "_Admin" on their name, I assumed that's your admin account, and your main is simply the same name minus the "admin" part. Correct me if I'm wrong. |

this is a view of some of the new weapons in battlefield bad company beta. how they changed the weapon dmg meters. and now they have a compare button.
the biggest change is the fact now you have to buy certain weapons that no other person can have. how sick is that.
The beta for Electronic Arts's "Battlefield: Bad Company" on Xbox 360 doesn't start until tomorrow, but controversy hit last week when users discovered weapons that must be purchased over the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The weapons were discovered in a menu detailing the game's unlockables, each one padlocked with a note asking players to "buy this weapon on Xbox LIVE marketplace."
Multiplayer contacted Electronic Arts for an explanation, which they provided this morning. At launch, there will be ten weapons available through XBL or PlayStation Network that aren't in the box.
Before you panic: five will be free. Five retailers offer an "exclusive" pre-order weapon in the months to come. Each of those weapons will become available at launch for free.
Another five, however, will not.
These five will be exclusively bundled with a to-be-announced "Gold Edition" of "Battlefield Bad Company." Think of "Gold Edition" as another term for the many "Limited Edition" versions of games we've seen recently. These weapons are readily unlocked for gamers who purchase the Gold Edition, but everyone else will need to pay.
No prices for any of the purchasable weapons are listed in the beta.
EA told us the pay-to-play weapons will not unbalance the game. "All weapons are balanced for gameplay," said a spokesperson in an e-mailed statement. "More weapons offer players more choices but do not create an advantage/disadvantage for players who do not opt to buy new item."

On Valentine's Day of 2006, EA released the long-awaited patch 1.2. The patch was meant to make the game more realistic and even out the classes. In their attempt, EA characteristically failed.
