My son was killed in a car accident last year because a senile, 78 year old woman ran a red light and hit us causing us to flip into a ditch. Kyle's seatbelt came unlatched during the roll and he was ejected. His seatbelt was later examined by several experts who determined it was faulty and told me that seatbelts can and do fail, especially in roll over accidents. I had no idea that seatbelts could fail and think that this is something everyone should be made aware of. The government also needs to be more strict about making sure the people they issue licenses to are fit to drive...

Chunk has been awake for an immeasurable amount of time, slaving away in his
cubicle on an animation that is long overdue. Armed only with caffeinated
beverages, Chunk must overcome his animatorly struggles and fatigue-induced
hallucinations without going completely insane. He has wrongly assumed, however,
that the only comfort available to him is his warm, padded computer chair. He
does, in fact, have no comfort available to him, and his chair is out to prove that.
This was my senior thesis animation for graduation at Ringling College of Art and Design, class 2007. Everything, including the annoying voice and excluding the music, was done by myself. Enjoy! |

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds was originally formed in 1984 by two former members of the Australian band The Birthday Party: Nick Cave (vocals, songwriter, keyboards, harmonica) and multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey. They were joined by Einstürzende Neubauten member Blixa Bargeld (guitar), Hugo Race (guitar), and former Magazine member Barry Adamson (bass, piano). With this line-up, the band recorded and released their debut album, From Her to Eternity (1984). The group has been through many personnel changes, with Cave and Harvey remaining the constants. During their initial Australian tour, Birthday Party bass guitarist Tracy Pew also performed with the band. |

Wil Maring and virtuose guitarist and fiddler Robert Bowlin have been recently combining talents to create beautiful original acoustic music which straddles the fence between bluegrass, folk and country music. Wil's beautiful airy vocal style and heartfelt lyrics have raised the eyebrows of the acoustic music world in recent years with the release of her three solo cds and four band cds with her band Shady Mix. Robert, a two-time National Fingerpicking and Flatpicking Guitar contest winner, has been a band member with legendary artists like Bill Monroe, Maura O Connell, Kathy Mattea, the Osborne Brothers, and many more. Their music will leave audiences spellbound long after the show is over. For bigger venues, Wil sometimes appears with whole band, Shady Mix, which includes instrumental lineup of upright bass, fiddle, mandolin, and sometimes banjo.
Mixture of bluegrass, oldtime, folk, country, and even a little pop. Wide variety of influences, and live show includes a heavy emphasis on originals, but also bluegrass and country standards, fiddle tunes, and cowboy and western swing music. Current favorite artists and influences are wide and varied.... Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Martin, James Taylor, John Hartford, John Prine, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Flatt and Scruggs, Bob Wills, Asleep at the Wheel, Tony Rice, Hot Rize, Dougie MacLean, Kate Rusby, Lyle Lovett, Kim Richey, Patty Griffin, Lucy Kaplansky, Nanci Griffith and so many more... from my youth: Dan Fogelberg, John Denver, Jackson Browne, Eagles, and many bluegrass artists.
Robert Bowlin started at age 1 and a half playing the ukelele, graduated to his dad's guitar at age 5, and has been creating unique and beautiful guitar music ever since. He won the National Finge KS in 1979 and got 2nd in the Flatpicking Guitar Contest in 1978. His professional career has included stints with artists such as Maura O' Connell, Kathy Mattea, Tom T. Hall, the Osborne Brothers, Bill Monroe, Ray Price, Bobby Bare, Faron Young, Ricky Van Shelton. He was a session guitarist and fiddler in Nashville for countless recordings. He has played onstage with artists such as BB King and Ricky Skaggs, Tony Rice, Peter Rowan, and Vassar Clements.

Silky
Liverpudlian-in-exile Silky has been a full time comedian since 1997. He did his first gig in 1994, and his fourth gig (the final of the 1995 BBC New Comedy Awards alongside Lee Mack, Daniel Kitson and Julian Barratt) was shown on BBC1's Stand-Up Show. Other awards he has failed to win include the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (prize-winning runner-up 2000), the Liverpool Echo Arts and Entertainment Award (the only person to be nominated twice: always the sodding bridesmaid), the Perrier Best Newcomer (not even nominated for that one), the Time Out Award (didn't get entry form in on time), the F.A. cup (not a football team), numerous Academy Awards, and so on. The list gets longer every day. He did, however, win the 2000 BAF 'Out There' award for Artistic Courage, for a show at the Bakewell Arts Festival, where they were genuinely expecting folk music.
Silky has performed internationally, including gigs in China, the Philippines, the Gulf, Singapore, the US, the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and all over Europe, including at the Glastonbury Festival, where no-one lobbed bottles of wee, much to his relief. He performed at the 2004 God's Kitchen Global Gathering, the 2005 Big Bang at Santa Pod, and in the houseband for the Kilkenny Festival. He is also the evil mastermind behind the Kill for a Seat Comedy clubs across the UK, and has performed with the Comedy Store's MEN at Work satirical team and Monkey Lab Improv. A tall, versatile, funny and very likeable performer, whether you need an MC, an extended set, or simply something down from the top of a cupboard...
Silky headlined the inaugural Frampton Mansell comedy festival, the world's smallest. He acted in 'All Shorts' for Club West (winners of the coveted Spirit of the Fringe award), and presented WorldArt Media's TV Stage in Princes Street Gardens for Telewest. He compered the Big Value Comedy Show at the 2003 Edinburgh Fringe (**** Edfringe.com), the final of the FHM Com and has played from Manila to Berlin, Belfast to Prague, Shanghai to Croydon, but he's never been to me, and actually enjoys making people laugh. Indoor work with no heavy lifting? Lovely. In Winter 2003 he headlined his own 30-date tour of the UK and Ireland as an exercise in humility, and is doing so again this year. He acted in a pilot for SO TV that was bought for broadcast by Disney, and will never show the tape as Bee Costumes are involved. Warm-up work includes Strictly Come Dancing for BBC1, a Saturday evening primetime show attracting 9.1 million viewers. He's always doing interesting stuff.
Television appearances include 'The Stand-Up Show' (BBC1), 'James Campbell's Silly Experiment' (SO TV/Disney Worldwide), 'Coronation Street' and 'Gagging for It' (Granada), The Loafers (BBC Digital), 'Hollyoaks' and 'Brookside' (Mersey TV), 'Heartbeat' and 'Rhinoceros' (Yorkshire TV), Sky TV, The Superchannel (Denmark) and Channel 6.
