600 folks from the Western US rolled out to LA on May 10th to support Red Bull New York as they stormed into town to play the LA Galaxy. The day began with 4 hours of tailgating, live music and entertaiment on site at Home Depot Center and focused to the field as the sun went down. From tons of Support and obnoxious chanting, RBNY was able to edge out a 2-1 victory with the help of Juan Pablo Angel's late goal. |

El ecuatoriano Gustavo Tello se consagró como el mejor jugador latinoamericano de fútbol estilo libre en la gran final disputada en el teatro El Nacional, en Buenos Aires.
Unas 900 personas asistieron a la fiesta inolvidable conducida por Gastón Recondo, periodista de TyC Sports y Cucho, el cantante del conjunto musical Los Auténticos Decadentes. Una noche que también tuvo espacio para la emoción y la literatura de la mano de ese relato memorable del periodista Walter Saavedra, quien desde un costado del escenario narró un cuento que generó la ovación del público, mientras los jugadores se preparaban para salir a escena. "Es para este público que tanto me alentó en esta noche", comentó el ganador, quien en el último mano a mano superó a Carlos Iacono de Argentina.
En esos 20 segundos para realizar sus rutinas antes de ceder la pelota a su rival para que reaccione, el jurado calificó la creatividad, el estilo y el control. Redondo, ex volante del seleccionado argentino y el Real Madrid, Francescoli, ex jugador de River y la selección de Uruguay y Griffa, descubridor de talentos en Newell's, Boca y ahora en su Academia en Rosario, jerarquizaron la gala y estuvieron a la altura de estos 101 años de historia que tiene el teatro, que en 1982 sufrió un incendio y en el 2000 pudo ser reinaugurado luego de su reconstrucción.

El título, entonces, quedó en manos de Gustavo Tello. La fiesta y la experiencia inolvidable, claro, fue para todos. "Estos chicos demostraron una habilidad y un talento con la pelota pocas veces visto", coincidió el jurado. Ahora, Tello podrá visitar por una semana al equipo de fútbol Red Bull New York en Estados Unidos. Ese fue el premio mayor para este artista de la pelota. |

Solo with NY(City)7 is a short film of contemporary dance in seven sections, which reflects, embodies and subverts the dynamic interaction between an individual's movement and her environment. The basic idea behind the work emerged from my love for New York City. It's a dancer's declaration of love for New York and the different spaces within its domain that influenced my movement. Specifically, Solo with NY(City)7 explores 7 places that are uniquely NY. These include: 1) the View from my Balcony, 2) the Upper East Side 3) Central Park 4) Times Square, 5) the NY Subway, 6) Wall Street Bull and 7) the View from Long Island. Each section of the film can be viewed, individually, they can be viewed all one after the other or the viewer can just choose the locations that interest them. |
