In 1996 Packard Bell put out a commercial that tried to show urban existence as negative with the point of the commercial being that using a Packard Bell computer "You can do it all from home". Librarians objected to the negative image of the library. The commercial has storm trooper like characters marching around the library shushing people. Packard Bell changed the commercial and lifted out the library scenes. The version here shows the library scene. |

The last of the big Packards..the following year, they would still be making them, but they were thinly disguised Studebakers. Note the Ultramatic transmission, controlled electronically by pushbuttons on the pod. This car has an air conditioner..Packard was the first to have air conditioning in the late 30's..note the evaporator is in the trunk, and the conditioned air is blown through the wand coming up from the parcel shelf behind the back seat. This car is a fitting testimony to the luxury and innovation that were Packard. |

One of the stages of Chronicle Mode, from the Gundam Climax UC Game (for the PS2). In this one, you fight as Norris Packard, during his last fight in the Gundam 08th MS Team Series.
This stage was one of the hardest ones in my opinion, because the Gouf Custom is worse than the Feddies robots, it only has advantage on the physical attacks, and the spark plug (it stops the enemy robot and removes its shield, I fired it at the beginning on Karen) is too hard to hit with all three of them moving.
And more, Guy Shishi... I mean, Shiro Amada, seems to be always the last one to bite the dust. That's why he runs a lot.
Also, doesn't matter if you win as Norris here, the ending is the same as Shiro's.
Sorry for the "jumps" on the sound, I'm working on that. |

HP Readies Monitor with "One Billion Colors"
HP is readying a monitor for video post production work that has "one billion colors." The new technology was announced at the NAB show in Las Vegas last week by HP and partner DreamWorks. DreamWorks will be using the new monitor in animation post-production.
DreamWorks and HP have had a long association in implementing advanced technology for animation production.
But the technology is not just for the professional post-production video production suite, it will be implemented across HP's consumer and business monitor lines, Computerworld reports.
Beet.TV caught up with HP's Jeff Wood at the HP booth for this explanation. The new monitor was not on display at show, just the announcement of its upcoming introduction which is expected this summer.
