UPDATE: Tried to email Al-Jazeera for clarification of this claim. As yet NO response. After the BBC censored this clip and then reinstated it, then some of them now claiming they NEVER censored it, the mystery DEEPENS. With Benazir Bhutto assassinated the motive arises in that she quite clearly leads not only her death to the door of the Pakistanis but also responsibility for the 9/11 attacks are implicated as well. Aired on 2nd November 2007,David Frost the presenter did not challenge her on her assertion (2:14) that Bin Laden was murdered, so maybe he was and the West has not announced it.
It would make sense that the West would cover up such a truth, as Bin Laden is needed as a "bogeyman" to continue the farcical "War on Terror" |

A song I wrote a few years ago about Osama's attacks on the west and Bush's "war on terror". There are no heroes in this story.
Lyrics:
Osama bin Laden was a-walking one day.
He came to a mosque so he popped in to pray.
He said, "Lord, what are we going to do about the US of A?
It's big, bad and ugly, and it won't go away!"
The answer came to him: "I'll leave it to you.
Your supporters are many and they'll know what to do.

Osama had friends who could lend him a hand.
The plot he came up with was carefully planned.
He butchered the infidels in their own land.

"I want Osama bin Laden," he said.
"I want him alive or, preferably, dead."
Now Bush declares war on whoever he can.

Saddam Hussein made George Bush's blood boil.

Osama had no love for Saddam Hussein.
He wasn't Islamic enough it was plain.
A brutal, but secular, regime in the main.
Women even had jobs there - and that's just insane!
Peace in Iraq is much worse than the war.
There are more people dying than ever before.
At least in the past there was some kind of law,
But now it's the rule of the tooth and the claw.
So, fighters for Islam, come gather ye round.
Extremists for Allah, for Baghdad we're bound.
Terrorism will grow in Iraq's fertile ground
And American targets can easily be found.
Join the jihad against the barbarian horde
And, if you should die by the infidel's sword,
You can go up to heaven and claim your reward;
With seventy-two virgins you'll never get bored.
Osama bin Laden was walking scot-free.
He said, "I thought George Bush would be looking for me,
But he seemed to think Saddam Hussein held the key.
The American dogs are barking up the wrong tree."
When stupidity rules in the world's greatest land
They are playing right into the terrorists' hand.
The fires of love, not of hate, must be fanned

Professor Thomas P.M. Barnett is a Senior Strategic Researcher in the Warfare Analysis & Research Department, Center for Naval Warfare Studies, U.S. Naval War College. Currently, Thomas is on temporary assignment as the Assistant for Strategic Futures, Office of Force Transformation (OFT), Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he is working with OFT Director Vice Admiral Arthur K. Cebrowski (USN, ret.) on a cluster of strategic concepts that link change in the international security environment to the imperative of transforming U.S. military capabilities to meet future threats.
Thomas has published a number of articles explaining these strategic concepts, which he presents comprehensively in a briefing entitled, "A Future Worth Creating: Defense Transformation in the New Security Environment."
At the Naval War College, he serves as Director of the NewRuleSets.Project, an ambitious effort to draw new "maps" of power and influence in the world economy so as to expand the U.S. Military's--and specifically, the U.S. Navy's--vision of where and how it can wield maximum influence across the international security environment of the Era of Globalization.
Thomas has written for Esquire, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Christian Science Monitor, and The Providence Journal, and published a book with Praeger entitled Romanian and East German Policies in the Third World: Comparing the Strategies of Ceausescu and Honecker (1992)
In December 2002, he was selected by the editorial staff of Esquire as the "The Strategist" for their special edition entitled, "The Best and Brightest," which introduced a few dozen people "who are changing our world."
Thomas has a BA (Honors) from the University of Wisconsin. Following Wisconsin, he earned an AM in Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia and a PhD in Political Science from Harvard University.
