This is the review to Metroid 3 for the Wii. Sorry but it IS cut off because I had to stay within the 10min limit of youtube. So i will tell you the rating
10 Presentation
The best yet in the Prime series, Corruption comes to life with atmoshperic cinemas and voice acting. Meanwhile, a medal system and WiiConnect24 support offer great incentive to keep playing.
9.5 Graphics
Currently, Wii's best looking game. Retro's artistic sense is second to none. Prime 3 includes a welcomed variety of gorgeous planets to explore and runs in 480p / 16:9 at 60 frames per second.
10 Sound
The score by Kenji Yamamoto is as moody as ever, even featuring throwbacks to some previous games. The sound effects are punchy and the voice acting is well implemented.
9.5 Gameplay
Spectacular. Controls better than any console first-person game before it, features great pacing and a fun mix of puzzles and shooting. In contrast, there's a tedious fetch quest and some door loads.
9.0 Lasting Appeal
At 20-plus hours, it stands tall next to the other Prime games. The single-player affair is a little easier, but you can extend replay by scanning everything or playing again in Hyper Mode.

Durante il primo anno di vita, Wii ha macinato record incredibili sorprendendo Nintendo stessa che non si aspettava un tale successo in termini di popolarità e di guadagni. Questi risultati sono stati possibili grazie al peculiare sistema di controllo, intuitivo, fresco e alla portata di tutti oltre all'inclusione dell'ottimo Wii Sports nelle confezioni della neonata console. Sono stati rilasciati anche una serie di titoli mediocri che giustamente non hanno trovato un buon riscontro nei giocatori di vecchia data che hanno comprato la console per poter divertirsi con le saghe che hanno fatto la storia dei videogames. Il primo grande gioco a vedere la luce è stato Zelda Twilight Princess che tuttavia altro non era che un porting da Gamecube con il sistema di controllo aggiornato al Wii remote. Successivamente è arrivato Resident evil 4, anch'esso porting aggiornato di un titolo però uscito due anni prima. Ora per fortuna le cose stanno cambiando e all'orizzonte si profilano dei prodotti capaci di farci dimenticare il passato e di lanciarci finalmente nella next generation targata Nintendo. Il portabandiera di questa nuova linea è proprio Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption è il miglior gioco per Wii uscito in questo primo anno di vita. Tecnicamente curatissimo, incredibilmente divertente e immersivo grazie ad una delle formule più azzeccate del mondo videoludico e ad un sistema di controllo funzionale e preciso, questo terzo capitolo convince su tutti i fronti. Sebbene le novità non coinvolgano tutti gli ambiti di questa produzione, non se ne sento davvero il bisogno e chiunque si aspetti un grande sequel non rimarrà deluso. Chi si avvicina per la prima volta a questo genere di gioco sappia che l'impegno che il gioco richiede al giocatore è notevole, ma questo è il giusto prezzo per tutto il divertimento che si riceverà in cambio. |
