Meralikundia is a wonderful country. Different animals live here: wild rabbits, silly monkeys, slow and clumsy sloths, haughty peacocks, a clever giraffe and a dangerous pithon.
A little lion is very unhappy. He has just understood that he had not got a real friend. He wants to find that only the most extraordinary, the most beautiful, the cleverest and the best Friend. His fellow in games a small hippo does not want to leave the little lion alone. The clever Giraffe says that the best friend for the little lion may be a Hippopotamus. But neither the lion nor the little hippo do not know who the Hippopotamus is. They begin their trip through Meralikundia:
Will they find that mysterious Hippopotamus? Will it be the best friend for the little lion?
"The Mysterious Hippopotamus" is an educational work of the theatre children studio "The Big Family". All age groups of students (6 - 16 years old) take part in the performance. There are much music, dances, plastic and comic items in the performance. The directors set themselves a task to acquaint the young actors with the world classic and variety music.
(The number of the participants - 16. The play lasts 50 min, excluding the interval)
