To let you know, the stuff done in here is super-hard. If you think you can do this stuff and are in Levels 0-9, you can't. Most of Level 10s can't do this stuff either. You have such low self-esteam that you go around to peoples videos and try to downgrade the difficulty of what is being performed. Even if you think you can, a lot of this stuff is way harder than it looks. An Illusion Turn [00:48] is super-difficult to get perfect. If you can do it, great, but you can't do it as well as any of the gymnasts in this video, sorry to say.
This video includes most of all disciplines of gymnastics. Men's Artistic, Women's Artistic, Men's Rhythmic, Women's Rhythmic, Sports Acrobatics, Tumbling, and Trampoline. And all these branches of gymnastics are as difficult as the other. There is no "real gymnastics," The most common form of gymnastics is Artistic Gymnastics, which most people think is harder than the other forms. Its not. They may not have to learn as diversed amount of tricks, but they have to learn even extra difficult tricks to stay competitive.
So just a word of advice. If you want to come here to brag, please send me a Video Response of your gymnastics so everyone viewing this video can know your sincere. If you don't, I will automatically assume your a fake and delete your comment from my video. Thanks for viewing =]

A montage about the sad stories in gymnastics. I cannot even imagine the pain of training your whole life for a dream then having it taken away.
Footage includes Julissa Gomez, Christy Henrich and Yelena Mukhina, whose stories are perhaps the greatest examples of tragedy in gymnastics.
Also included is Sang Lan, who is a very inspiring amd courageous woman. She has managed to keep a positive outlook on life and do many great things. She hopes to be one of the final torchbearers at next year's Beijing Olympic Games.
The other gymnasts I chose becasue they were perhaps the best examples of gymnasts forced to retire in their prime, or before their career even really began.
I also included those who never lived up to expectations, those supposed to be the next big thing who were then forced to watch their dreams slip away in the spotlight.

this is a project i made for a class in high school a few years ago. nothing too special, but just enough to show people who knows nothing about gymnastics what it is. i wanted to have a side-by-side comparison of what recreational gymnastics is and what elite gymnastics is so that everyone in my class would understand.
no, i'm not an elite, nor am i training to be that high level of a gymnast. i'm just a recreational gymnast not looking for perfection; i'm just out to learn new skills and do my best! |
