A remix is an alternative version of a song, different from the original version. A remixer uses audio mixing to compose an alternate master recording of a song, adding or subtracting elements, or simply changing the equalization, dynamics, pitch, tempo, playing time, or almost any other aspect of the various musical components. Some remixes involve substantial changes to the arrangement of a recorded work, but many are subtle, such as creating a "vocal up" version of an album cut that emphasizes the lead singer's voice. A song may be remixed to give a song that was not popular a second chance at radio and club play, or to alter a song to suit a specific music genre or radio format. Remixes should not be confused with edits, which usually involve shortening a final stereo master for marketing purposes.

Electronic music
Early pop remixes were fairly simple; in the 1980s, "extended mixes" of songs were released to clubs and commercial outlets on vinyl 12-inch singles. These typically had a duration of six to seven minutes, and often consisted of the original song with 8 or 16 bars of instruments inserted, often after the second chorus; some were as simplistic as two copies of the song stitched end to end. As the cost and availability of new technologies allowed, many of the bands who were involved in their own production (such as Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Duran Duran) experimented with more intricate versions of the extended mix. Madonna began her career writing music for dance clubs and used remixes extensively to propel her career; one of her early boyfriends was noted DJ John Jellybean Benitez, who created several memorable mixes of her work.
Hip hop, rap and R&B music
Remixes have become the norm in modern dance music, allowing one song the ability to appeal across many different musical genres or dancefloors. Such remixes often include "featured" artists, adding new vocalists or musicians to the original mix. The remix is also widely used in hip-hop and rap music. An R&B remix usually has the same music as the original song but has added or altered verses that are rapped or sung by the featured artists. It usually contains some if not all of the original verses of the song however, these verses may be arranged in a different order depending on how the producers decided to remix the song.
Remix in literature
A remix in literature is an alternative version of a writing, different from the original version. Remixing of literature and language may have started in 2000 within the book "Pixel Juice" by Jeff Noon, who later explained using different methods for this process in 2001 with "Cobralingus".
Later in 2006 Nigel Tomm published his book Shakespeare's Sonnets Remixed where he introduced a literary remix in poetry. In the same year Nigel Tomm published Shakespeare's Hamlet Remixed. In 2007 Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet Remixed was published. In these books Nigel Tomm extended, broadened and developed the phenomenon of literary remix.

Anyway, World Heroes (developed by ADK) is a classic series of video games for the Neo Geo. World Heroes characters have shown up in later fighting games by SNK Playmore, such as Neo Geo Battle Coliseum. World Heroes 2 was also ported to the Neo Geo CD and Neo Geo AES home systems, and the first game has been released on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console, as well! While some may call the World Heroes series a Street Fighter 2 ripoff, it boasts unique characters and gameplay mechanics.

Both the MVS and AES versions are highly collectible - and moddable - for great prices. Fatal Fury - Neo Geo MVS (Arcade) - Long Play - Part 2. Recorded on a real Neo Geo system. Later, I may attempt a speed run at the game, but as you can probably tell, I need a little more practice. However, I was hoping to show some of the strategies one could use to finish the game. Anyway, this is the first game in the classic series of video games, developed by SNK (now known as SNK Playmore). Its original Japanese name is Garou Densetsu (roughly translated, Legend of the Wolves), and it stars Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, and their friend Joe Higashi, as they seek vengeance against Geese Howard. Garou: Mark of the Wolves and the Real Bout series, well known for their fighting systems, are well known sequels to this flagship Neo Geo title. This game is where the King of Fighters tournament actually got its start! Not only was this great fighting game ported to the Neo Geo CD and Neo Geo AES home systems, it has also been released on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console, as well!

Fatal Fury isn't quite the Street Fighter 2 ripoff that many suspect it to be. It actually began development before Capcom's legendary game did. Also, while now a bit dated, Fatal Fury introduced unique new mechanics for its time. It included what would later be called "Dramatic Battle" by the Street Fighter Alpha series, which consists of two players versus one cpu opponent. It also made use of multiple planes of fighting, adding depth to the gameplay. The graphics, music, general presentation, depth of the storyline and characters, as well as the aforementioned gameplay mechanics influenced later games in the series.

Anyway, this is old school side scrolling brawler was developed by SNK (now known as SNK Playmore). This great fighting game was also ported to the Neo Geo CD and Neo Geo AES home systems. Some say that Burning Fight is a cheap ripoff of Capcom's classic beatemup Final Fight. It is hard to argue, however, that the game does a good job of showing off the Neo Geo's potential, especially given the game's age. The great depth and detail of the graphics, high quality sound effects, a good variety of locations and items, plenty of enemies on screen with no slowdown, and more are some of the game's pluses. Also, the boss fights tend to be quite challenging.

This video was recorded from a unibios modded Neo Geo 1 slot MVS (arcade) PCB hooked up to a supergun (allows PCBs to be connected to TVs etc.). The recording was done via s-video from the system to a PC capture device. The unibios (universal bios) by Razoola provides a lot of additional functionality to Neo Geo systems, including the ability to switch between AES console and MVS arcade modes, as well as a jukebox player, cart crc check, cheat codes, and more.
The Neo Geo 16bit arcade system was far ahead of its time (which uses cartridges for the games), especially the AES ("Advanced Entertainment System") home console later released that was based on it. Both the MVS and AES versions are highly collectible - and moddable - for great prices. The system became the home of many of SNK's current famous series, including Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, and King of Fighters. Check this out for more Neo Geo information:

Car has close to 98,000 miles.
technically a one owner vehicle.
my stepdad bought this nearly two years ago and he drove it a few times then left it sit after it failed inspection due to a a bad wheel bearing and tie rods.
Original owner had hit a deer with this car, therefore the front bumper and hood are off a white Geo Metro LSI. The front left fender is permanently damaged.
Car is an excellent runner, but it needs gas due to someone stealing the gas out of it last year, and it could use a new spark plug.
I plan to get this car back on the road by the end of June.

Another from Mr. Herbert's Science class, using a practical, personal application as a lesson, we study the operation and repair of the Geo Thermal heat pump.
Theory: Use coils under ground in your yard to cool and heat the freon in the Heat Exchanger, instead of the coils and fan that is usually parked outside your home in a big unit with a loud fan that is used to cool those coils with the hot air surrounding it.
That is the old fashioned way and that is quite in-efficient, compared to Earth Cooling for free in Heat pumps.
