Elvis Presley - Amazing Grace
Recorded: 1971/03/15, first released on "He Touched Me"
Words & Music: Arranged by Elvis Presley
Lyrics:
Amazing grace,
Oh, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost,
But now I'm found
Was blind,
But now I see
When we've been there
Ten thousand years,
Bright shinning as the sun
We've no less days
To sing God's praise
Then when, when we first begun
Through many dangers
Toils and snares
I have already come
T'was grace that brought me
Safe thus far
And grace will lead me home
Amazing grace,
Oh, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost,
But now I'm found
Was blind,
But now I see
Was blind,
But now I see

Elvis Presley - My Boy
Elvis gives a convincing performance full of strength and passion.
Recorded: 1973/12/13, first released on "Good Times" album 1974
(Words & Music: B. Martin / P. Coulter)
Lyrics:
You're sleeping son, I know
But, really, this can't wait
I wanted to explain
Before it gets too late
For your mother and me
Love has finally died
This is no happy home
But God knows how I've tried
Because you're all I have, my boy
You are my life, my pride, my joy
And if I stay, I stay because of you, my boy
I know it's hard to understand
Why did we ever start?
We're more like strangers now
Each acting out a part
I have laughed, I have cried
I have lost every game
Taken all I can take
But I'll stay just the same
Because you're all I have, my boy
You are my life, my pride, my joy
And if I stay, I stay because of you, my boy
Sleep on, you haven't heard a word
Perhaps it's just as well
Why spoil your little dreams
Why put you through the hell
Life is no fairytale
As one day you will know
But now you're just a child
I'll stay her and watch you grow
Because you're all I have, my boy
You are my life, my pride, my joy
And if I stay, I stay because of you, my boy

Composer Claude Putman, Red West heard for the first time Green Green Grass of Home in 1966, the LP, Jerry Lee Lewis, Country Songs for City Folks (67,071 Smash SRS). At the time said the graver the song for Elvis, but Elvis has decided not to do so. While traveling back to Memphis in 1970 in his personal coach Greyhound, Elvis heard a recording of Tom Jones on the radio. Parou the coach and Marty Lacker said the call for the disc jockey George Klein. Klein passed the disc several times in the air to Elvis during the following hours. On March 11, 1975, in the RCA studios in Hollywood, Elvis finally recorded Green Green Grass of Home. |

Elvis Presley-Suspicion
Written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman. It was recorded on March 19, 1962 at RCA's Nashville studios. It was originally released on the Pot Luck LP. In 1964, the single was released and it reached #103 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart; it was the B-side to Kiss Me Quick.
Everytime you kiss me
I'm still not certain that you love me
Every time you hold me
I'm still not certain that you care
Though you keep on saying
You really, really, really love me
Do you speak the same words
To someone else when I'm not there
Suspicion torments my heart
Suspicion keeps us apart
Suspicion why torture me
Everytime you call me
And tell me we should meet tomorrow
I can't help but think that
You're meeting someone else tonight
Why should our romance just
Keep on causing me such sorrow?
Why am I so doubtful
Whenever you are out of sight?
Suspicion torments my heart
Suspicion keeps us apart
Suspicion why torture me
Darling, if you love me,
I beg you wait a little longer
Wait until I drive all
These foolish fears out of my mind
How I hope and pray that
Our love will keep on growing stronger
Maybe I'm suspicious
'cause true love is so hard to find
Suspicion torments my heart
Suspicion keeps us apart
Suspicion why torture me

Elvis Presley That's All Right (Mama)
Written by Arthur Crudup
Elvis recorded it July 5, 1954 at Sun Records-his first commercial recording there. It was the first Elvis record played on the radio. Dewey Phillips played it 14 times on his Red, Hot and Blue show and he received 47 telephone calls from listeners when it was played. Elvis interviewed on the program later that evening. The single did not chart nationally, but it reached #4 in Memphis. Fewer than 20,000 copies were sold. The flip side was Blue Moon of Kentucky. Elvis sang it on his Grand Ole Opry appearance on October 2, 1954 and during his many appearances on the Louisiana Hayride and while touring the south in 54-56. Elvis also sang it in That's The Way It Is in 1970. Elvis also sang it June 21, 1977 in Rapid City, South Dakota, which was used in the TV Special Elvis in Concert.
Well, that's all right, mama
That's all right for you
That's all right mama, just anyway you do
Well, that's all right, that's all right.
That's all right now mama, anyway you do
Mama she done told me,
Papa done told me too
'Son, that gal your foolin' with,
She ain't no good for you'
But, that's all right, that's all right.
That's all right now mama, anyway you do
I'm leaving town, baby
I'm leaving town for sure
Well, then you won't be bothered with
Me hanging 'round your door
Well, that's all right, that's all right.
That's all right now mama, anyway you do |

Elvis Presley-Got My Mojo Working
Recorded in studio jam session (paired with Keep Your Hands Off Of Her) on June 5, 1970 at RCA's Nashville studios. On the Love Letters LP.
Muddy Waters is credited with writing this song but so is Preston Foster, not sure which correct.
Hands off of her, she belongs to me
Mojo working don't belong to you
Well, she's mine all mine no matter what you do
Play it boys, play it boys
I got my mojo working but it just don't work on you
I got my mojo working but it just don't work on you
But you're mine all mine no matter what you do
Let me tell you now
She's long lean and lanky, sweet as she can be
Hands off of her, she belongs to me
Hands off of her' don't belong to you
Well she's mine all mine no matter what you do
I got my mojo working but it just don't work on you
I got my mojo working but it just don't work on you
Well you're mine all mine no matter what you do
Play it jerry, play it ........
No matter what you do, play it son
Well she's long lean and lanky, sweet as she can be
Hands off of her unless you want to deal with me
I got my mojo working but it just don't work on you
Well you're mine all mine no matter what you do
Yeah!
I got my mojo workin' i got my mojo workin'
I got my mojo working but it just don't work on you
Well, you're mine all mine no matter what you do
She's long lean and lanky, sweet as she can be
Hands off of her, she belongs to me
Hands off of her' don't belong to you
Well you're mine all mine no matter what you do
One more time!
Yeah!
I got my mojo working but it just don't work on you
I got my mojo working but it just don't work on you
Well, you're mine all mine no matter what you do
Listen to me now
I said you're long lean and lanky cute as you can be
Hands off of her unless you want deal with me
Get your hands off of her, she don't belong to you
Well, you're mine all mine no matter what you do

Elvis Presley-Blue Moon
Written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Elvis recorded it at Sun Records on July 6, 1954. The drummer on the recording was Buddy Cunningham. Elvis sang it on the Louisiana Hayride from 1954 to 1956. The 1956 single released by RCA has a 17-week stay on Billboard's Top 100 chart, peaking at #55. It was the A-side to Just Because, and it is on The Complete Sun Sessions and Elvis Presley LPs.
Blue moon,
You saw me standing alone,
Without a dream in my heart,
Without a love of my own.
Blue moon,
You knew just what I was there for.
You heard me saying a pray for
Someone I really could care for.
Oooohhhh
Without a love of my own
Blue moon,
You saw me standing alone,
Without a dream in my heart,
Without a love of my own.
Oooohhhh
Without a love of my own
Blue moon...oooooohooooh

Elvis Presley (Marie's The Name) His Latest Flame
Written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman. Elvis recorded it June 26, 1961 at RCA's Nashville studios. It had an 11-week stay on Billboard's Hot 100 chart peaking at #4. It was #1 in England for 4 weeks. It sold over a 1,000,000 copies. It was the B-side to Little Sister. An alternate take is available on Elvis Close Up.
A very old friend came by today
'Cause he was telling everyone in town
Of the love that he just found
And Marie's the name of his latest flame
He talked and talked and I heard him say
That she had the longest blackest hair
The prettiest green eyes anywhere
And Marie's the name of his latest flame
Though I smiled the tears inside were a-burning
I wished him luck and then he said goodbye
He was gone but still his words kept returning
What else was there for me to do but cry
Would you believe that yesterday
This girl was in my arms and swore to me
She'd be mine eternally
And Marie's the name of his latest flame
Though I smiled the tears inside were a-burning
I wished him luck and then he said goodbye
He was gone but still his words kept returning
What else was there for me to do but cry
Would you believe that yesterday
This girl was in my arms and swore to me
She'd be mine eternally
And Marie's the name of his latest flame
Yeah Marie's the name of his latest flame
Oh Marie's the name of his latest flame. |

You can shake an apple off an apple tree
Shake-a, shake- sugar,
But you'll never shake me
Uh-uh-uh
No-sir-ee, uh, uh
I'm gonna stick like glue,
Stick because I'm
Stuck on you
Gonna run my fingers thru your long black hair
Squeeze you tighter than a grizzly bear
Uh-uh-uh,
Yes-sir-ee, uh, uh
I'm gonna stick like glue
Stick, because I'm
Stuck on you
Hide in the kitchen, hide in the hall
Ain't gonna do you no good at all
'Cause once I catch ya and the kissin' starts
A team o' wild horses couldn't tear us apart
Gonna take a tiger from his daddy's side
That's how love is gonna keep us tied
Uh-uh-uh
Yes-sir-ee, uh,uh
I'm gonna stick like glue
Stick, because I'm
Stuck on you
Gonna take a tiger from his daddy's side
That's how love is gonna keep us tied
Uh-uh-uh
Yes-sir-ee, uh,uh
I'm gonna stick like glue, yeah, yeah
