Basierend auf dem US-Bestseller "Die Tagebücher einer Nanny" ist "Nanny Diaries" eine romantische und spritzige Hommage an alle leidgeprüften Kindermädchen dieser Welt. Neben Scarlett Johansson ("Lost in Translation", "Scoop") brillieren Laura Linney ("Die Geschwister Savage", "Kinsey") als verbiesterte Society-Lady und Paul Giamatti ("Sideways", "Robots") als Testosteron gesteuerter Mitvierziger. Unterstützt werden sie von Grammy-Gewinnerin Alicia Keys, die Annie als unverwüstliche Freundin Lynette auf ihrem turbulenten Ausflug in die New Yorker High Society zur Seite steht.
"Nanny Diaries" wurde von den Regisseuren Shari Springer Berman und Robert Pulcini umgesetzt, die 2004 für "American Splendor" eine OSCAR-Nominierung erhielten. Die beiden arbeiten seit über zehn Jahren zusammen und haben neben der Regie auch den Roman für das Drehbuch adaptiert.

July 2008. Ok, I've decided that not only is the singing horrid, I was trying too hard acting wise so look for me re-doing this sometime in the future. *
Ok...I shall be the first to say my singing kinda sucks...but I was on a roll with the emotion of it and all. I did a little lead-in monologue cut from lines from the scene that leads up to loving you. I was also having too much fun with audacity and transposed it a little too high for what I feel the song should be but oh well. I was thinking about cutting the "monologue" with a better clip of singing but decided to just let it be. Instead of going with the moderately strong singing and acting, I just went with the acting. Hopefully the singing is bearable for the most part, even if it's "off". Ok sorry for excuse city. I'm a little nervous.
This isn't necessarily how I would play it within the context of a show...and I hope to God not how I would sound but, I was feeling the need to Fosca-size myself today.
I played this role in college a couple years ago (I think the first fat one, though not the first non-thin one), but alas, not as well as I could have. Like Mrs. Lovett, this is one of the roles I would kill to try again someday.
