- I am aware that Christian Bale is Welsh. Thank you. It was a conscious decision on my part not to have an accent. Why? Because I find American accent Bale to be more recognizable than Welsh accent Bale. OK?

For the longest time I've been wanting to create a slide show of Christian Bale in 3:10 to Yuma, using the stills and screen captures and this great cowboy song, "Pancho and Lefty." I worked on this a long while, and it's pretty close to my original vision that I had in my head. I wanted to display the pictures that capture Christian's "quiet intensity" he adds to his character Dan Evans in 3:10—as well as his rugged handsomeness and all around screen presence. I'm not sure if—or how—the song works out with the original story or how it creates a new one. Perhaps I should have incorporated Russell Crowe in the video, and it would have gone better with the song—if I ever feel ambitious some day, I might give it a try.
Notes: "Pancho and Lefty" was originally written/performed by the late Townes Van Zandt, the singer/songwriter with a devoted following and huge respect from his peers for his talents, especially songwriting. I highly recommend Be Here to Love Me—a documentary about his somewhat tragic life. Alt-country icon Emmylou Harris sings this version of "Pancho and Lefty" that I used for my slide.
Christian Bale, of course, can be currently seen playing Bruce Wayne/Batman in the summer blockbuster The Dark Knight.
