The show, directed by Jamie King (famously known for his work with Madonna, Christina Aguilera and The Spice Girls), combines Dion's performances with color, fashion and dance. Céline Dion performs some of her biggest hits, along with songs from her latest English album Taking Chances.
The two hour show is divided into four segments: soul, rock, Middle-Eastern and, fashion-victim. Dion is supported by eight dancers (4 male and 4 female). Rehearsals took place in December 2007 in Primm, Nevada and MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The tour setup includes about twenty LED screens, among them one that will orbit the stage, plus conveyor belts and elevators. Dion pre-recorded a selection of videos for her show. The introduction video shows her driving a car at high-speed, with intermingling images from her career, set to a remix of "I Drove All Night" as the beginning of her concert. Another video shows the singer dressed in varying fashions over the years, with the "My Heart Will Go On" remix in the background. |

Before the two Canadians conduct and perform the song "The Power of the Dream", the Olympic Oaths are taken by the following people:
- Teresa Edwards of the American women's basketball team, in behalf of all athletes. The American team would then win the gold medal in the event later on.
- Hobie Billingsly, in behalf of all the judges.
Note here for above statement: This was the last time that Athletes' Olympic Oath was said and written in that fashion. At Sydney 2000, another line would be added, in regards to doping and drugs.
The main highlight here is the vocal theme song for the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games: "The Power of the Dream." It was composed and conducted by David Foster of Victoria, British Columbia, who also composed both the vocal and instrumental theme songs for the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games. The song was sung by the pop-star diva Celine Dion of Charlemagne, Quebec. The two of them have established and awarding-winning musical careers before and after this particular event. |

The Venetian Macao went into overdrive for the city's biggest ever pop concert, a sellout show by Celine Dion. The resort's 15,000-seat arena was packed to the rafters - and the bars and restaurants were jammed - as the diva put on a stunning performance. It was obvious from the start that the French Canadian singer was determined to leave a lasting impression on her Macau fans, many of whom had traveled from neighboring Hong Kong. The after-party to see and be seen at, however, was a 20-minute ride away by shuttle bus, atop the Venetian's sister property, the Sands Macao. The View, a new ultralounge open to VIPs only, played host to the Damiani fashion show.

Opened in November 2004, the Erawan Bangkok provides shopping in luxurious comfort. The white façade was designed to blend in with the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel next door.
