Catherine Davis Cox appeared as the jazz coloratura soloist in Duke Ellington's Sacred Concert at the Ford Amphitheater. The Beverly.Hills Outlook called her "...a major presence, her voice functioning as an instrument without limits, scat singing on the upper end of the spectrum, on pitch and.'with it.'" For Mozart's "Coronation Mass" and Mendelssohn's "Hymn of Praise." The Tolucan Times said, "...Davis Cox had the vocal technique necessary to deliver the difficult arias" with a "voice of pure beauty, especially in the Agnus Dei, sounding like the "Dove Sono" aria from Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" - Davis Cox shone in her solo work." Credits include Handel's Messiah, Bach's St. John Passions with tenor Jonathan Mack and Mozart's Requiem and the Rutter Requiem at Carnegie Hall. For a Tribute To Ray Charles, she shared the stage with longtime collaborator, Billy Osborne. Catherine has been a soloist for Dr. Albert McNeil, conductor of the Jubilee Singers. She has a girls' jazz trio The Satin Dolls and has voiced many animated characters for HBO and Nickelodeon. She recently did a series of concerts with Bob Ralston of the Lawrence Welk show. Ms Cox has twice been selected as a quarterfinalist in the Savannah Music Festival's American Traditions Vocal Competition whose director, Rob Gibson, brought the Jazz program to Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis songbird2005@earthlink.net
Philip McNiven has appeared on the TV shows CSI, Newsradio, and ER. Philip performed as Alfred in Die Fledermaus, and the Narrator in The Cinderella Stories with Opera of the Foothills. He co-founded the sketch comedy group The DeadpanHandlers, wrote the music and starred in the hit musical B** Pirates of the Caribbean, an L.A. Weekly Best Musical, and Audience Choice award winner at the 1999 San Francisco Fringe Festival, where he was labelled "one of the city's comic treasures." He wrote the book and music for the children's musical The Princess and the Pizza, produced at Upfront Comedy in 2000. With "The Cormen" he sang at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall and at Carnegie Hall with the San Fernando Master Chorale. He recently played The Tenor in Long Beach Playhouse's production of Master Class. Philip won the El Portal Theater's Best Cabaret Newcomer Award of 2004, and performed his one-man show at the Cinegrill at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Philip has won the Gold and Silver Promax Award, and has directed commercials for Singapore Airlines. He has acted in dozens of national TV ads, most notably as Professor Wonder Bread. He is currently developing a sitcom based on his experiences on the set of Scrubs.
