for those of you who don't know, carla niven (or andrew [male] in real life) is one of the worst creators for the sims 2. they create the absolute worst pieces of clothing, charge at least a dollar PER article of "clothing" (aka pixels on a computer), and treat themselves as if they were a famous fashion designer. site URL: www.carlaniven.com this particular poorly done "fashion show" was not supposed to be seen by anyone but the site's paying customers (aka carla/andrew her/himself and his mother) and a select few who requested an invitation before september 1st. here's what we all missed, LOL. the clothing on the models in this vid are all created by carla... you can see how awful they really are. why the hell would anyone pay for this?

http://es.video.yahoo.com/watch/2393413/7155876 Madame Sarkozy Carla Bruni Tedeschi, known as Carla Bruni (born 23 December 1967) is an Italian songwriter, singer and model, and wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Heiress to the Italian tire manufacturing company CEAT founded in the 1920s by her grandfather Virginio Bruni Tedeschi and sold by her stepfather Alberto in the 1970s to Pirelli (the brand lives on via its Indian subsidiary, founded in 1958),[1] she was born in Turin, Italy. The family moved to France in 1973, reportedly to escape the threat of kidnapping by the Red Brigades, a Marxist-Leninist terrorist group active in Italy in the 1970s. Carla grew up in France from five and attended boarding school in Switzerland. She returned to Paris to study art and architecture, but left school at 19 to become a model. Bruni signed with City Models at 19. Paul Marciano, president and creative director of Guess? Inc., came across her picture among composite cards of aspiring models and chose her to model with Estelle Lefébure in campaigns for Guess? jeans. Bruni subsequently worked for designers and fashion houses such as Christian Dior, Paco Rabanne, Sonia Rykiel, Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Yves Saint-Laurent, Chanel and Versace.[3] By the 1990s, Bruni was among the 20 highest-paid fashion models, earning $7.5 million a year. While modeling, Bruni dated Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger and Donald Trump.[4] On Friday, 11 April 2008, it was confirmed that a 1993 nude photograph of Bruni had been auctioned for US$91,000 (£46,098) - more than 20 times the expected price.[5] [edit] Music In 1997, Bruni quit the world of fashion to devote herself to music. She sent her lyrics to Julien Clerc in 1999, based on which he composed seven tracks on his 2000 album Si j'étais elle. In 2002, her debut album Quelqu'un m'a dit, produced by ex-lover Louis Bertignac, was released in Europe with success in Francophone countries.[6] Three songs from the album appear in Hans Canosa's 2005 American film Conversations with Other Women. The song "Le plus beau du quartier" was used in HM's Christmas 2006 commercial. In 2005, she was a guest in Louis Bertignac's return album on the song Les frôleuses which they sang as a duet. In 2006, Bruni recorded "Those Little Things" an English-language translation of the Serge Gainsbourg song "Ces Petits Riens", for the tribute album Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited. She participated in the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in a parade paying tribute to the Italian flag. Her second album, No Promises containing poems by Yeats, Emily Dickinson, Auden, Dorothy Parker, Walter de la Mare, and Christina Rosetti, set to music, was released in January 2007. Her albums are released by the French independent record label Naïve, which releases artists such as Vinicius Cantuaria and Aline de Lima.

http://es.video.yahoo.com/watch/2393413/7155876 Vive la Madame Sarkozy! I've sort of been following the Bruni-Sarkozy story - why not? I always liked Carla as a model, because she was outspoken, and being rich, she did it for fun. Then she quit to make records. And they weren't embarrassing either. So when she married Sarkozy I figured it had to be for love ... he's 5 inches shorter, she doesn't need the money or fame, and knew she'd be the target of ridicule. Talk about rising to the occasion! Thank the spirit of Grace Kelly that we finally have a new, gorgeous fashion icon. It gives me hope. From the Telegraph: In dressing for her arrival at Heathrow, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, former folk singer and now First Lady of France, demonstrated a political savvy which belied her brief tenure on the country's fashion throne. Her dress code for the start of the state visit could not have been a better chosen example of entente cordiale at its most diplomatic and stylish. From "tête to toes", her ensemble bore the marque of Christian Dior, one of the most revered names in French fashion. But it was designed by an Englishman, John Galliano, who recently marked his tenth anniversary as the couturier-in-residence at the famous maison on Paris's Avenue Montaigne. The outfit comprised a high-waisted coat in Dior grey -- the colour most associated with the fashion house, originally founded in 1946 by M. Christian Dior. It was accessorised with a matching beret, slightly tilted to one side to show Mme Sarkozy's signature demi-fringe. The coat was cinched with a wide, black leather belt, which emphasized her slim figure, once such a feature on the catwalks of the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Christian Lacroix and Versace, in the 1990s when she was one of the world's highest-paid models. Mme Sarkozy deliberately chose flat, black leather ballet pumps to detract from the height differential between her statuesque 5ft 9in and her husband's 5ft 5in, and carried - in black, leather-gloved hands - the latest entrant from the Dior 'accessory stable', a shiny black leather handbag, called The Babe. one comment so far » Gorgeous. Incredibly beautiful coat. Also, I noted last October during my trip to Paris that ballet flats are in style there right now, so she shows her connection to the public AND makes her hubby feel physically equal by wearing them. Classy! Comment by Chillymama — March 30, 2008 @ 9:22 pm

http://es.video.yahoo.com/watch/2393413/7155876 Madame Sarkozy Call him Giorgio the Legionnaire. Fashion Wire Daily has learned that Giorgio Armani is to be awarded the Legion of Honor, and no less a figure than French President Nicholas Sarkozy will pin the medal on the designer. Sarkozy will confer the honor on Amani this summer in Paris when the Italian designer will be in town to stage the latest collection from his haute couture line, Armani Prive, on Monday, June 30. A spokesman for Armani declined any comment, but well informed sources told FWD that Sarkozy has invited Armani to the presidential residence in the Elysees Palace to receive his recognition. Most designers and actors - such as Valentino, Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz or thespian Jack Nicholson - are traditionally presented their ribboned Legion of Honor at a ceremony in the grand and gilded salon of the Ministry of Culture on rue de Valois, the heart of the Palais Royal, arguably the world's most beautiful apartment building. His new wife, Italian model and singer, the former Carla Bruni Tedeschi, will join the hyper energetic president at the ceremony. Speculation will be rife about what Madame Sarkozy will wear to the ceremony. On Sarkozy's much-publicized state visit to the UK in March, Carla's wardrobe was Christian Dior. However, Carla is not unfamiliar with Giorgio's oeuvre; she wore a silvery white evening dress by Armani when she carried the Italian flag at the opening ceremony of the XX Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. Armani will also receive the distinction just before he celebrates his 74th birthday on July 11. Armani, a one-time student of medicine and subsequently a department store window dresser, founded his fashion house in 1974. He went on to create a label that last year scored annual sales of 1.7 billion euros, or $2.95 billion. Arguably the world's most famous contemporary designer, Armani is famed for his minimalist silhouette, "non-color" palette and revolutionary men's fashion concepts, such as dressing guys in fabrics traditionally used by women.

Chanson Triste (Carla Bruni) - guitar piano cover
Time :

My version of Carla's "Chanson Triste", off her tremendously fantabulous and devastatingly wonderful debut album "Quelqu'un M'a Dit". French is not my mother tongue, and I can't speak a word of it -- so my pronounciation might be ridiculous... je regrette de ne parle pas vraiment Français! All you hear is either played or sung by me. Ah, my cat (well, one of my two cats) makes a funny (though pretty short) appearance in the video... isn't she a great actress? She totally steals every scene she's in. Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi (born 23 December 1967) is an Italian-French songwriter, singer and supermodel, and the wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Heiress to the Italian tire manufacturing company CEAT founded in the 1920s by her grandfather Virginio Bruni Tedeschi and sold by her stepfather Alberto in the 1970s to Pirelli (the brand lives on via its Indian subsidiary, founded in 1958), she was born in Turin, Italy. The family moved to France in 1973, reportedly to escape the threat of kidnapping by the Red Brigades, a Marxist-Leninist terrorist group active in Italy in the 1970s. Carla grew up in France from the age of five and later attended boarding school in Switzerland. She eventually returned to Paris to study art and architecture, but left school at 19 to become a model full-time. She is the daughter of Italian concert pianist Marysa Borini and industrialist and classical composer Alberto Bruni Tedeschi. Her sister is actress and movie director Valeria Bruni Tedeschi. She also had a brother named Virginio Bruni-Tedeschi (1959 - 4 July 2006), who died unmarried and without children. In 2007, it was revealed that her biological father is Maurizio Remmert, an Italian businessman who now lives in Brazil. Bruni signed with City Models at age 19 and her career began. Paul Marciano, president and creative director of Guess? Inc., came across her picture among a stack of composite cards of aspiring models and chose her to model with Estelle Lefébure in ad campaigns for Guess? jeans. Bruni subsequently worked for a number of designers and fashion houses, such as Christian Dior, Paco Rabanne, Sonia Rykiel, Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Yves Saint-Laurent, Chanel, Versace, and others. By the 1990s, Bruni was among the 20 highest-paid fashion models, earning $7.5 million a year. While modeling, Bruni dated Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger and Donald Trump. In 1997, Bruni quit the world of fashion, to devote herself to music. She sent her lyrics to Julien Clerc in 1999, based on which he composed seven tracks on his 2000 album "Si j'étais elle". In 2002, her debut album "Quelqu'un m'a dit", produced by ex-lover Louis Bertignac, was released in Europe with major success in Francophone countries. Three songs from the album appear in Hans Canosa's 2005 American film Conversations with Other Women. The song "Le plus beau du quartier" was used in HM's Christmas 2006 commercial. In 2005, she was a guest in Louis Bertignac's return album on the song "Les frôleuses" which they sang together as a duet. In 2006, Bruni recorded "Those Little Things" an English-language translation of the Serge Gainsbourg song "Ces Petits Riens", for the tribute album Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited. She participated in the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics, in a parade section paying tribute to the Italian flag. Her second album, "No Promises" containing poems by Yeats, Emily Dickinson, Auden, Dorothy Parker, Walter de la Mare, and Christina Rosetti, set to music, was released in January 2007. Her third album is planned for release in autumn 2008.

Trop beau. Is it your cup of tea ? Voir la vidéo de Carla Bruni chantant live à la BBC : A new Madame Sarkozy? Very reliable sources inform me that President Nicolas Sarkozy plans to marry top-model-turned-singer Carla Bruni. The two have been spotted in tête-à-têtes over the past month, and made a first public splash at EuroDisney over the weekend. Ms. Bruni bears an uncanny resemblance to the recent Madame Sarkozy. And I don't mean his mother. No word yet on when he plans to officially pop the question, if he hasn't done so already. Perhaps this Sunday, her 40th birthday? Look for all the details at the Paris newsstands tomorrow. LONDON: The day after splashing pictures of her naked, Britain's tabloids hailed Carla Bruni as a fashion queen who could be the new Princess Diana. (Watch: Royal welcome for Sarkozys) "What a difference a day makes and this time she remembered to put some clothes on," trumpeted The Daily Mail, which devoted a six-page spread to France's First Lady. "Britain is enchanted by Madame Sarkozy," said the Daily Express opposite a picture of the former catwalk star turned singer arriving for a state banquet at Windsor Castle. Tabloids had welcomed Carla at the start of a state visit with her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy, on Wednesday by reproducing a nude fashion shot of her taken in the 90s. Bookmakers William Hill quoted odds of 10-1 that Sarkozy would buy the print when it was auctioned next month in New York. Any moralistic tut-tutting by the popular press was replaced on Thursday by praise for a woman hailed as a demure model of elegance. A Good Night for France. The Gaul Scorers," declared The Sun in a front-page spread linking Carla's triumph with France's soccer defeat of England in Paris. When she arrived in London, heir-to-the-throne Prince Charles had planted a kiss on her gloved hand. "Is Carla the new Diana?" asked The Daily Telegraph. "Presidential aides hope France's First Lady will become their very own Queen of Hearts." At home, French newspapers enthused over the sensation created by the new first lady, whose apparent ease with rigid court protocol they put down to her long experience as a model. The English conquered by Carla", said Le Parisien daily. Even the leftwing Liberation daily paid tribute, remarking that Carla had delivered a near faultless performance but adding: "her husband had more difficulties with protocol." One British paper said that in her Christian Dior outfit, Carla recalled Jackie Kennedy in her heyday, and the press adulation should help to boost her husband, nicknamed "President Bling-Bling" for his lavish lifestyle. Their relationship had sent Sarkozy's popularity ratings plunging. Voters complained the president was focusing too much on his private life and not enough on France's economic issues. Headlines like "Enchante" and "Ooh La La, Madame Sarkozy" showed she is very much a presidential asset as far as the British press is concerned. Sarkozy, 53, separated from his second wife Cecilia last October following an 11-year marriage and just five months after winning power. By February he had married the 40-year-old Bruni. Bruni had previously been linked with rock stars Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton, as well as US businessman Donald Trump. The day after splashing pictures of her naked, Britain's tabloids hailed Carla Bruni as a fashion queen who could be the new Princess Diana.
