Adaptation by Karine Rousseau In the 19th century, fashion begins to change far more rapidly than it had in the past. The most overt manifestation of this accelerated tempo of change is the constant shifting of the fashionable silhouette of women's dress. A survey of the period from 1810 to 1898 reveals a wide variety of distinct modish silhouettes or forms. The women's attire held in the McCord Museum collection provides an apt illustration of the stylistic changes of this period through the evolving shapes of skirts, sleeves and bodices. Former high-profile fashion designer, Anthony Prozzi, has drawn on his wealth of experience to create a luxurious upscale look for the Ford Flex. The New York-trained designer created a stylish interior with a fresh combination of colors, textures and materials that directly mirrors how we dress today. Banana Republic 2008 Fall/Holiday Fashion Show
Time :
9 : 54
As Banana Republic celebrates its 30th anniversary, iconic separates—wardrobe favorites for three unforgettable decades and counting—are reimagined for fall 2008. The crisp white shirt is elevated to a wardrobe focal point thanks to clever tailoring, while the indispensable black dress is pared down a sleek, graceful column. The ultimate exterior—the timeless trench—is updated for today's classicist; in supple, versatile leather or dramatic trench cape for her, and with tony, tailored accents for him. The classic Heritage chino returns in a fresh, simplified form. Refined suiting from the Monogram collection continues to play a major role in cosmopolitan attire as do subtly luxurious accents. This seamless evolution of classic sportswear to modern essentials forms the latest chapter in the house's storied legacy. Channeling an urban sophistication, silhouettes are sleekly modern: For women, the new tailored pant fits close to the body, tapered skirts hit just below the knee, and svelte ¾-length coats elongate the figure. Meanwhile, Continental suiting satisfies the modern menswear wardrobe, from lean double-vent jackets and lightweight tweed flannel blazers to vests and slim ties. These clean, tailored looks are balanced by the cool tones of granite, deep charcoal, and Prince of Wales plaid. Structured knits offer a thoughtful alternative to everyday exteriors while smart accents—including dapper caps, cosmopolitan booties and frame bags—add a personalized polish. Architectural details and tactile elements make a statement in effortless chic. With strong cocoon shapes at the collar and cuff, feminine favorites—from cashmere cardigans and swing coats to the quintessential little black dress—borrow from couture silhouettes. Slender black pants and tapered tuxedo skirts provide a solid base for these sculptural pieces. For him, tailored layers of wool and flannel create an easy elegance, as do shades of camel, ivory, and concrete. Distinguished separates covered in inky, midnight hues offer a lesson in thoughtful restraint, as demonstrated by the embellished tank and double-breasted heritage coat. Conservative collars and slender silhouettes—from prim knee-grazing skirts and tailored lace dresses to the structured rouge sheath—speak to the modern sophisticate. Offering a stately study in contrast, iconic smoking shirts and wool mohair tuxedo suiting appeal to all; both are streamlined to suit modern tastes. Casual bows and shawl collar cardigans put a fresh, nonchalant twist on the timeless look.

Ignorance is not a form of 'proof'
Time :

So I've given into popular request, and the guilty pleasure of giving VFX, now dubbed PCS another spanking. It's a point that I've been meaning to take up for some time now, his fundamentally flawed arguments from ignorance that: 1) Time can be treated in a Euclidian fashion (something that been known to be wrong for about 80 yrs), and this proves his god exists(?) 2) That just because his fantasies involve time not always existing, as does the big bang, that this somehow makes the credibility of the big bang theory equally applicable to his voyage of fantasy. Body modification is a form of masochism whether it is through piercing your nose or getting breast implants, they are all forms of masochism. Each body modification you have puts you in pain; pain that you have chosen to put yourself through. Just like anyone who cuts them selves to feel relief or hangs them selves from hooks for the thrill of it, these are all forms of masochism. Body modification and masochistic behaviors are slowly getting more and more radical as we move into the future. People are now getting horns implanted into there skulls or metal spikes implanted underneath there skin. People will openly cut them selves on stage and hang themselves from hooks, perform acts of masochism making it more and more of a socially acceptable thing. This is why I believe that in the near future people will want to look and feel a more extreme masochistic feeling. As a fashion designer I wanted to take a look into the future of body modification and masochism. I want to give the viewer of my collection a sense of the medical advancements that people will undergo. The clothing is not clothing as such but a representation of the medical advancements people have undergone.

More fun. Here is Final Form Sora against two Xaldin at Disney Castle. The two keyblades are Fenir and Ultima Weapon. The music is so anti-battle, but I haven't figured out how to change the music (if anyone could help, much appreciated). This area is huge and makes for great manuevering. No Trinity limit here, just some good fashion button mashing. Thundaga is great to use here. This fight is fun because Xaldin and Sora have weapons floating around them (and they hurt when touched). I hate the berserk stance. Please commment, rate and enjoy. Note - This is me playing.

RALPH LAUREN FAll 08 LINE - NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
Time :
3 : 20
Ralph Lauren's fall 2008 collection is largely influenced by life in Colorado where he shares a ranch with his family. Red-and-black buffalo plaid suits and blanket coats are just some of the Western styles as well as plaid hunting jackets and cashmere skirts. But there is an urban edge too, dresses and suits in herringbone and black. Some leopard print paws its way down the runway. For evening, there is more plaid in the form of a high-necked gown. Velvet and tulle skirts complimented by lots of fabulous jewelry make watching the show a real party.

Having won the acclaim of national and international press and buyers, Maki Aminaka and Marcus Wilmont showed their first On-Schedule collection 'VECTOR XXY' at London Fashion Week 2008. Aminaka Wilmont took their inspiration from the emergence of vector graphics and the cult 1980s movie, Tron. All design begins in 2D in the design process and become 3D when paired with the anatomy of the human form. Clean Slate designed and produced a fashion show based on the same inspirations the collection had been created from.

BRIAN ENRICO BODY COUTURE FASHION CATWALK SHOW PART 1
Time :
7 : 34
MEDIA ITALY: "Brian Enrico is the best The Netherlands offers in fashion since a long time." Article: "Underground Fashion Talent Brian Enrico is the best The Netherlands has got to offer in fashion since a long time"." Article: "Underground Fashion Talent - Since a few years, The Netherlands gained a name as trend blacksmith when it comes to underground fashion. The flair of the worldly and open metropolis Amsterdam seems to give young designers wings. One of these ambitious young designers, maybe even the most talented one of this young caste, is Brian Enrico. This self-made designer introduced his first Body Couture in January 2007. Brian Enrico outstrips a lot of his young colleagues. His fashion is not inspired by the current common street style. The muses for his urban fashion are the divas of the past: Jackie Onassis, Greta Garbo, Grace Jones and Audrey Hepburn. 'Black is beautiful' echoes through the whole collection of the Dutchman. Brian Enrico plays with the epochs and mixes fashion styles against all odds. On top of this, his fashion is one thing for sure: very female. The extra-large shoulder pats are clear references to the 1980s. Nevertheless, his line looks very modern, even futuristic." Peter Thalmann, In Sud Tirol magazine, Italy, June 2007. MEDIA USA: "A new designer emerges with a fresh take on iconic fashion. Brian Enrico celebrates strong women through his design perspective. At the Lancôme competition the official start of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week was underway but perhaps the biggest surprise of the night took place at the unofficial program on Friday night with the UFTA (Underground Fashion Talent Amsterdam) show. While most of the fashion shown at this event did not rise above the level of "fun clothing for a night out", the couture shown by autodidact Brian Enrico was a cut above the rest. Enrico's collection is based on various female style icons who continue to fascinate: The simplicity of Grace, Jackie and Audrey; the drama of Marlene, Greta and Morticia. While the collection has the grace and elegance of the iconique movie stars of the past, watching the collections prance by on the backs of divas, you cannot help but be hark-back to the 1980's and the broad shoulders of its working women. Enrico's collection is in no way tried and tired, however. His approach to the bygone eras is a meld of the past, present, and future which is distinctly his own. Enrico does not believe in the taboo surrounding the female body. During personal fittings Enrico models each garment on the individual client to ensure the best accentuation of each woman's body shape. His approach to design proves his admiration for the female form emphasizing the shoulders, breast, waist, and hips. In fact his muses and models are headstrong women of all generations. His dress code: Black to Basic. Welcome on board of his first night flight to Venus. Brian Enrico Body Couture wishes you a fantastic journey! Star Noor in Miasma magazine, USA, 0-issue online, print launch September 2007 MEDIA NETHERLANDS: "The Lancôme competition signalled the official start of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week, but the unofficial programme was launched on Friday night with the UFTA (Underground Fashion Talent Amsterdam) show. Although most of the fashion shown at this event did not rise above the level of "fun clothing for a night out", the couture shown by autodidact Brian Enrico was a cut above the rest. Divas of all ages modelled black dresses and cat suits with extremely broad shoulders. Hysterically, maybe, but nevertheless a clear statement arriving at just the right time; the extreme shapes of the 1980s are once again in demand."
