Croatia sealed their place in the quarter-finals of UEFA EURO 2008™ as goals from Darijo Srna and Ivica Olić earned a famous win against Germany that took Slaven Bilić's side three points clear at the top of Group B.
With both teams having won their first game on Sunday each knew victory in Klagenfurt would all but secure a ticket to the last eight, and it was Croatia who struck first midway through the first half thanks to the determination of Srna. The points looked safe when Olić tapped in just past the hour, yet Lukas Podolski set up a tense finale with his third goal of the tournament eleven minutes from time. Croatia, whose only previous success against the Mannschaft had come in the quarter-finals of the 1998 FIFA World Cup -- a match in which Bilić played -- held on with Germany losing Bastian Schweinsteiger to a late red card. Joachim Löw's men were left needing a point from Monday's meeting with Austria to continue in the tournament.
While the Germany coach kept faith with the side that served him well against Poland, Bilić brought in midfielder Ivan Rakitić for Mladen Petrić and pushed Niko Kranjčar into a more advanced role. Neither team were prepared to take risks in a tense opening and the first scoring opportunity did not materialise until the 24th minute -- and from it, Croatia took the lead. The ball was worked neatly down the left for Danijel Pranjić to deliver a superb deep cross which Srna, arriving ahead of his marker Marcell Jansen at the far post, steered past Jens Lehmann.
Germany sought an immediate response with Mario Gómez heading over from Jansen's cross, although Kranjčar might have doubled the Croatian advantage only to volley Olić's knockdown over the bar. Germany captain Michael Ballack came more into the game, seeking to drive his side forward with half-time approaching and stinging the palms of Stipe Pletikosa with a powerful free-kick, before Christoph Metzelder nodded a Torsten Frings corner too high. Yet it was Croatia who finished the opening period the stronger, with Kranjčar wasting another presentable chance as he volleyed Olić's pass straight at Lehmann.
Löw replaced Jansen with winger David Odonkor at half-time, with Clemens Fritz and Philipp Lahm moving to right and left-back respectively as the coach tried to inject pace into his attack. The ploy did result in Löw's team gaining more possession but they still found it tough to carve out clear opportunities and fell further behind two minutes past the hour, albeit in unfortunate fashion. Lehmann reacted sharply to push Rakitić's deflected right-wing centre on to his near post, the ball having struck Podolski, but Olić moved fastest to tap the rebound into an unguarded net.
If that goal seemed to be the prelude to a comfortable last half-hour for Croatia, a Germany side who were running out of ideas suddenly halved the deficit with Podolski volleying in Ballack's knockdown from a Lahm cross. Despite that revival of ambition, the Mannschaft failed to mount a late charge and a disappointing day was completed two minutes into added time when substitute Schweinsteiger was sent off for reacting to a challenge from Jerko Leko. |

WALLANCE PRODUCTIONS
Breakdance, breaking, b-boying or b-girling is a street dance style that evolved as part of the hip hop movement among African American and Puerto Rican youths in the South Bronx of New York City during the early 1970s. It is normally danced to funk or hip hop music, often remixed to prolong the breaks, and is a well-known hip hop dance style. A breakdancer, breaker, b-boy or b-girl refers to a person who practices breakdancing.
Cartoon of a breakdancer displaying a basic freeze, next to a stereotypical boombox.
Since its inception, breakdancing has provided a youth culture constructive alternative to violent urban street gangs. Today, breakdancing culture is a remarkable discipline somewhere in-between those of dancers and athletes. Since acceptance and involvement centers on dance skills, breakdancing culture is usually free of the common race, gender and age boundaries of a subculture and has been accepted worldwide.
Breaking became popular in the Western world when street corner DJ's would take the rhythmic breakdown sections (or "breaks") of dance records and string them together without any elements of the melody. This provided a raw rhythmic base for improvising and further mixing, and it allowed dancers to display their skills during the break.
Michael Jackson's Robot dance, first performed on television in 1974 received a large following with many later breakdance pioneers further popularizing breakdance in the late 1970s. Breakdancing, in its organized fashion seen today, may have begun as a method for rival gangs of the ghetto to mediate and settle territorial disputes.[1] In a turn-based showcase of dance routines, the winning side was determined by the dancer(s) who could outperform the other by displaying a set of more complicated and innovative moves.[2]
Dance teams such as the Rock Steady Crew of New York City changed this competitive ritual of gang warfare into a pop-culture phenomenon receiving a large amount of media attention. In the 1980s, parties, disco clubs, talent shows, and other public events became typical locations for breakdancers. Though its intense popularity eventually faded in the mid-1980s, in the 1990s and 2000s, breakdancing became an accepted dance style, portrayed in commercials, movies, and the media. Instruction in breakdancing techniques is often available at dance studios where hip-hop dancing is taught. Some large annual breakdancing competitions of the 2000s include the [Battle of the Year]] or the Red Bull BC One.
Breakdancing is generally unstructured and highly improvisational, allowing the incorporation of many different elements. A basic routine might include toprock, a transition into downrock, a display of power moves, and finally a climactic freeze or suicide.
Toprock refers to any string of steps performed from a standing position, relying upon a mixture of coordination, flexibility, style, and most importantly, rhythm. It is usually the first and foremost opening display of style, and it serves as a warm-up for transitions into more acrobatic maneuvers. In contrast, downrock includes all footwork performed on the floor as in the 6-step. Downrock is normally performed with the hands and feet on the floor. In downrock, the breakdancer displays his or her proficiency with foot speed and control by performing footwork combinations. These combinations usually transition into more athletic moves known as power moves. |

The Incredible Bongo Band - Bongo Rock
MGM/Pride Records / PRD -- 0028 ( Rare Record Collection )
Bongo Rock' or 'The Story Of The Incredible Bongo Band' features the two original Bongo Band albums in their entirety (`Bongo Rock` and `The Return of the Incredible Bongo Band`) "The Incredible Bongo Band`s cover of track `Apache` originally made famous by The Shadows, is simply legendary in the world of dance music. Not only arguably one of the most sampled tracks of all time and a staple for Kool Herc and Grandmaster Flash as they invented the art of DJing at the Bronx block parties of the `70s, it has become an all-time hip hop and breakers anthem and is revered as the original break of all original breaks with the rhythms of this LP coining the term Breakbeat.
Formed by MGM A&R Michael Viner in 1972 to supplement the soundtrack to the virtually anonymous B film 'The Thing With Two Heads'. The IBB went from loose studio collective to an instrumental pop covers consortium, interpreting classics of the day in their own inimitable percussive fashion.
B-Movie soundtracks, The Beatles, drummers gone bad, Frank Zappa, Kool Herc... The album has a remarkable story behind it, detailed in Angus Batey's extensive sleeve notes.
Apache has been sampled by: Missy Elliot, Coldcut, Will Smith, Goldie, Jurassic 5, Moby, Run DMC, Sugarhill Gang, Beastie Boys and Massive Attack and many many more... A must in every record collection. |

Summary:
Brooke Davis is a famous fashion designer. On the red carpet she is being asked if she misses her real home. She answers "sure I miss it" and remembers the time when she and Lucas were dating. The next day Lucas is running by where Brooke used to live and also remembers. We now see that Brooke kept all the letters she wrote to Lucas. But she never sent them because she thinks this won't be enough for him to forgive her for her "cold words" when she broke up with him. Brooke keeps herself busy at work, but can't forget Lucas and the good moments they shared. She is far away from where he is (right now in her old room), but they think about each other at the same time. Now Brooke has a dream about their past and Lucas is dreaming about the two of them, too. Brooke is sad and goes to her best friend to get some comfort. Again she is thinking about their past and decides to give up her fancy new life to go back home (and to Lucas). He is waiting at the airport for her and they hug and tell each other that they missed each other so much. They go to a party together, kiss, make out and happily wake up together the next morning.

Bill Day's fascinatiing history of a very small part of modern fashion - the string bikini.
TEXT
Most people think the String Bikini was created in the expensive fashion houses of Europe or America.
But the truth is - it actually came from a very humble begining near the beaches of Rio De Jeniero...
In the beginning of the 1970's, young Brazilians were wearing Bikini's much like those in the rest of the world...
They were two piece bathing suits first designed a Paris engineer, Louis Reard in 1946.
Reard named his creation after the Bikini Atoll, the site of nuclear weapons tests.
He felt the burst of excitement over his creation was like a bomb going off.
With the help of people like Brigitte Bardot, songs like Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, and movies like Beach Blanket Bingo, the bikini became a symbol of pop culture.
About this same time, young Brazilian model Rose Di Primo was trying to make a name for herself in the early days of Brazilian Fashion Photography scene.
One day, a photographer, offered Rose a gig to pose in a bikini.
Rose accepted the job but didn't dare tell the photographer she didn't own a bikini... nor would she admit being unable to buy one.
Rose ran to her mother who was a seamstress. She asked her mother to make a bikini. But mother refused and told her daughter to make her own.
ROSE- So I took a panty etc... started to cut it etc...
When she was done she discovered there wasn't enough material to go around her body.
In desperation, she found some string and used it to tie together the little scraps of material.
ROSE... I tied it at the sides like this...
For the top part Rose did the same thing...
SO that was also by accident... and that is how I created the string bikini
When Rose showed up at the beach that day... little did she know her creation would spark a revolution in woman's bottom's and mens eyes.
montage...
By the end of the 1970's... nearly 100 million string bikinis were sold around the world...
But what happened to Rose Di Primo? Did she become
A. a millionaire
B. A writer
C. A Christian evangalist
D.Other

Adel was born in 1977 in Germany. As a son of African immigrants he soonly found out about his addiction to music and fooling around with it.As a young kid he started with dancing and imitating different Stars. No matter if Michael Jackson-,Janet Jackson-, MC Hammer- oder James Brown-Style. I was happy as long as I was learning."
After that, he went to L.A. and finally found in Kevin Brewer the right Chorographer to set a Base for his own Style. "Kevin tought me to listen to the Music, catch the right flow and use my talent, which is my feeling for the Music".On his way of newschool Adel met and joined Artists like Marty Kudelka, Dante Harper, Roland Tarbor, Shaun Evaristo and finally joined the Team Kaba Modern.
